i apologise if u offended,its just  that i find it  very difficult to beleive a girl actually did does stuff u did,if i were to rate the works on this thread ,urs will be amongst the top 1st (amongst the best) no doubt about it.

I really like the way I stumbled on this page.

Please guys, I am a very good cartoonist but a practical novice in the computer field (although i know virtually everything in corelDraw and other application packages) but I do not know how to give color to my cartoons, you know, like make it look REAL.

Does anyone on Nairaland have any idea on where I can find a manual on cartoon designing on the computer, because although I have Adobe Photoshop (Is that Okay?) I don;t know how to use it.

Do you know where I can find anyone who can make mutual use of my art skills?

Most of the commercial comics are drawn on paper and scanned in image manipulation programs for digital touch up/colors. You've got the skills (obviously) but don't waste your energy on any crappy program, they will only stunt your artistic growth and frustrate you. I say draw your stuff the way you want it ON PAPER, and scan into Photoshop (Since you've picked that up). Your speed issue will fade away with time and constant practice.

Actually, 'clean-up' is best done by hand. All you need to do is place a clean sheet over the rough image and trace it, and then re-scan the cleaned-up version. Atleast that's the conventional way of doing it, for both animation and comic-books. Using a mouse, on the other hand, is way too time-consuming and can be difficult to master.
