Real Nigerian musicians like Dabyna Abraham, Rymzo and their company are even multi-instrumentalists.

Molluma,
I gave you the vital link to even reach my buddie Dabyna directly and listen to his music too.

naija artists are good. my only beef is their videos. they really need to step up. tuface being such an international artist should have much more better videos we can export to the rest of the world. Kennis music messed up in that aspect. Meanwhile check out Face Alone(rmx) - Faze video. One of the best naija videos i've seen.

Here is one of the newest and hottest in Nigerian music, Angelica!

She big, beautiful and sexy.

I had the oportunity to see her in bed in a bedroom in Surulere, Lagos. She was only in a blanket and I could see visible parts of her awesome voluptuous boobs as she lay in bed. And I wish right now she could call me and ask me tomake her day in her bedroom.
Angelica is hot in singing, dancing and sexy!
Gosh!
I can even feel the heat right now.
Somebody should fan me. Wow!

Quote
Angelica is our contribution to the Nigerian Music industry monopolised by the male acts. Our mission is to create an internationally acceptable female act. Angelica’s singing and dancing talent brings itself to the surface in her debut single music video ‘My Naija Guy’ which is currently enjoying phenomenal airplay on all the Television and Radio Stations across the country. In the last week, MTV Base and Ben T.V, a UK based television station has also caught the bug and Angelica is now seeping into the consciousness of the UK crowd. Angelica’s debut album is set to hit the stands by the last week in May, 2006, under the auspices of Kingsley Ogoro Records. The Fifteen-track album boasts of other well arranged and excellently rendered songs such as ‘My Naija Guy’, ‘Don’t Wanna Dance’, ‘Gizzy-Gizzy’, ‘Together Forever’ [ a love song], and ‘Where is the love?’ an emotional ballad which addresses the plight of children in Africa and indeed the world over. Angelica is backed by a formidable team of Songwriters, Producers and Directors who are working tirelessly to put finishing touches to her album. Some of them are Kingsley Ogoro, Sammie Okposo, Kola Munis, and Segun Arinze who make up the creative arm of Kingsley Ogoro Records, with whom Angelica has a recording contract.

ever since the dBanj come back with that fela type behavior,
ever since mode 9 started to take hiphop seriously and leave that underground dark rap shit in the dark,
ever since paul play dairo started blessgin tracks with his marvellous voice
ever since OJB started looking out for the artists and making them those nice tracks
ever since Nigerians started being proud of representing outside nigeria,

hey! hey guys come of it nigerian artiste aint very good no sentiments involve call a spade a damn spad, we hav few musicians an many artiste, simple a clear xample of a musician is lagbaja he plays musical instruments an command a band not just that he knos music rudiments and enough to produce go sound on track and on stage, while reverse is the case tony tetuila can't even folow a key give to him bythe keyboardist neither can he paly a musical instrument an judgin from this he is not concerned about what comes to gether to make good  music so also is serveral of them includin tuface can he match some one as simple as neyo with copy written songs from balck face, come to think of it we don't hav producers we just hav people who sequence the ones wit ability to friuty loop they never studed it in school if they did thee no degree an if thee was it they are only a handful.

see we can't even match a perfect writing skills like that of beyounce, celin dion, usher anda host of them, thank God fro rap an punch lines, there no genre of music we started we always get to follow u can see that in usher wannabies (p Square) a friend used to say  if usher dies he live is also carryin other ppls carrier dey 2 would go unda the drain, dybina or what eva he is he just needs a high school band from abroad to dust him in rock like wise no wise man can sing africalipso like lagbaja, i could go on an on but, lets just appreciate what we hav now an not get carried away, we are after all students of perfection only our instrumentalist can match them i av seen it an 4 now that how far till the day our government stop lookin up to US for aid, grants and investors that day the artiste will xcell in internetional standard,
thank you

Nigeria artists are great but that does not mean comparing them with what we have elsewhere like America and south Africa. There is no point raising issues just watch MTV

The only video music with a differenc is Face alon Remix

@Xplicit
You are right about most of the so called Kora and Channel O awards winning Nigerian artistes who don't even know drmfsltd.

I understood what you said about Dabyna. But the guy is a well educated sound engineer and understands and plays most of the popular music instruments. But he needs a good producer to bring out the best in him. Especially in song writing.

I write songs with the sheet music. Because I work with a composer who is a higly gifted young Yoruba guy. But before I met him, I recorded my Hardway To Broadway and registered a copy with the Library of Congress, Washington D.C. But I have not done any commercial music recording or performance. Because, I prefer writing books to recording and performing music.

Most of our musicians don't want to pay for good songs. And instead of paying, they will prefer to sing their wacky songs and use good video to hype and make them look good.

Give any of them the next 10 years and you will be wondering where they disappeared to.
Why?
They are mostly opportunists.

You can never compare them to Femi Kuti, Lagbaja, Keziah Jones and other proven musicians who have been performing since the 80s to date.
Lagbaja has been performing since 1982. But how many of you know this?
Separate the men from the boys and you will see that the difference is clear.
