It was more like a freestyle for the show,and b4 u know it,trust naija peeps,they snt it down here,and b4 he knew it,the song became a hit in nigeria,even without banky's knowledge!
So its not his fault a freestyle became a hit!

The video to this song as nothing wrong with it, not a thing! The story line is actually the best of its king in 9ja now, Faze had a story line in that video with the rain which was also a nice attempt, but Banky W here smashed it, beautiful song, not that catchy, but it can sure grows on one. This story line actually is in line with the song, how many other 9ja or even flipping non 9ja vids can you say that 4. Please list.
With a Ebute Meta, so he did it, so what!!! The verse were actually heavy, maybe the vid was talking it too far, but he wanted people to see his face, and so they should.
HOW ANYONE CAN FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS VID or THE SONG IS JUST BEYOND ME.

I really think we nigerians should start appreciating our artist.
Banky W is a very talented nigerian musician i cant understand why it should be so difficult to see.
Some people are just unreasonable, its really annoyin when these people themselves do not posses any clearly visible talents.

I appreciate the encouragement, and the constructive criticism. Senseless hating is amusing but everyone's entitled to their opinion.
I've received quite a bit of backlash for ebute metta. Funny how life is, I never intended to release it or do anything with it, by now I'm sure people have heard the story of how I came up with it, in fact I only gave it to a couple of dj friends in yankee for them to play at parties and put on mixtapes (kind of like how everyone from little' wayne to 50 cent does remixes),
In my case, that mixtape song that was for promo only now blew up out of control and surpassed anyone's expectations. So much so that when it opened the doors for me to move back to Naija, they (the marketers) would not accept a Banky W album for release WITHOUT ebute metta on it.
In any case, I've been making music way before the remix, and will continue after the remix. Someone said I'm going to have to work hard to prove that I'm not one of those unoriginal "poor excuse for artists", and that's fine with me. Will continue to work hard at what I do. For those of you that have given my other songs like "My Regret", "Capable", and now "Don't break my heart" a chance, I thank u for listening and supporting, and I hope I never let u down. To those that aren't feeling it, it's all good. You don't have to listen if u don't want to.

I don't know why there is so much hate for Banky W's ebute meta song. That song was a smash hit and it is loved by people of various ages. My parents are close to 60yrs and when the heard the ebute meta song on my car stero while driving them to a party,they loved the song especially the chorus. Of course they do not know anything about rhianna's umbrella but they really liked Banky W's song. Banky has got an excellent voice. My favourite track of his is 'my regret'. My mum also likes 'ati de' the song he did with adewale ayuba (she likes fuji). In my own opinion,i think banky has been able to steadingly warm his way into the hearts of nigerians in very little time and i give him kudos for that.  |

Hey yall. Nice song and very well done by the artist. Im must say, im really impress by his work. Have listen to his album and its cool. What strikes me s the track 'my regret' as far as im concern, that s d best. Other tracks lik 'Capable', 'work u out' , 'dont break wat left. . .Heart' and others were tite too. Back to the topic, the video s tite and international standard. But the tin abt it, seems lik another story was shut for the song in the video. It doesnt correspond at all. Well it just my opinion. so what if rihanna and akon did remixes? does that make it right? mo often than not they take permission from the copyright owners. and when they dont, they get sued for plagiarism. Fact is, when you use someone else's property wothout proper permission, you are stealing!!! How hard can that be? Even a 3rd grader knows that!

But i dont think so bro. You've got a great voice, i lyk your capable song and your nu video is dope, but the ghost of ebutte metta still haunts dude.
