do u know u need to find a way to deal with your fear?
to deal with dead body fear, u might have to be locked up in a room wth a dead body for like a week, and afterwards u will be free from such fear.

I just like the thought I would be blown free into the wind.

The thought of being sealed in a box, and buried, to be eaten by maggots doesn't appeal to me.

So, if my loved one wanted to be cremated, I can see where she's coming from.

The body is lifeless anyways, so whatever happened to it after death is not a big deal.
We could save the ground for more property construction and at least Fashola or whatever his name is wont have to demolish houses, he could take the cementary.

Sure, the body's lifeless, but it's still a big deal.

Else, there wouldn't be strong leanings towards burial, or cremation.

Ofcourse, the body has to be disposed somehow, and not just thrown in the woods or lie on the street.

Could be wrapped in a mat, and thrown into the Evil Forest!  Grin

Or, wrapped in a rubber sheet, and thrown into the sea, to be shark food!   Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin

Endless possibilities, but believe me, not many would care to be fed to sharks after death, despite the fact they' d know nothing about it!

Proof that, we do care what happens to our bodies after we're dead.

Hi All,

Personally, I would prefer my body to be cremated and the ashes scattered on the land where I fell.  Failing that, the ashes to be stored in an urn or made into a cremation jewellery pendant or rock, for my loved ones to wear or keep and remember me by it.

This might sound bizarre to you but that's how I would like it when I'm departed from this earth.

@ Topic

Correct me if I am wrong . But I think that the issue of cremation is rather geographical,
religious and cultural . I do not think anybody in Nigeria has to bother about cremation
as it is alien to our culture and religions.
But however in many other parts of the world it is standard practice. So its more or less
a case of " to each his own " .

OMG I can't stand the thought of worms everywhere. There's something obscene about being alive one minute and next you're worm food and pushing up daisies.

Cremate me, and then bury me.

The important thing is where the soul goes after life.
The body can be drowned, buried or cremated. Its just a matter of individual choice, convenience or circumstances.
