I am not a Chelsea fan but I am concerned for both Avram Grant and the club.

Why did they decide to let 7 of there first team players go?

@ Nazzyon,

The Jose Bosingwa deal was anutha masterstroke ingenuity played by Ferguson and Queiroz. If Man United really wanted Bosingwa, Carlos Queiroz would have been the first to get him but knowing Chelsea love hi-jacking United targets(no thanx to Peter Kenyon), they threw a chaff and Chelsea bought it line, hook and sinker. Now, Fergie and Queiroz can now land Daniel Alves who has always been their main target. Cool Cool

Chelsea Close In On Dos Santos - Report
Chelsea are thought to be close to landing Barcelona youngster Giovani dos Santos,

The 18-year-old has been touted as an incredible prospect for a few years now, being likened to Ronaldinho, singled out for praise by Sir Alex Ferguson at the tender age of 14 and eventually making his breakthrough into the first team this season.

However, it has been a poor season for the Blaugrana, and he has not been able to settle in as he would have liked, either. Filling in for the phenomenal Lionel Messi - who missed crucial parts of the season due to injury - proved a bridge too far for the Mexican, who was somewhat underwhelming in comparison to fellow wonderkid, Bojan Krkic.

It has been rumoured that the forward is willing to leave the club unless he can be offered an improved contract, with Manchester City and Chelsea reportedly interested in the player several months ago.

It is Chelsea who are now said to still be in the hunt for his services, with the club having held talks with the player's parents and agent.

With a contract worth £40,000 per week - an astonishing amount for a player of that age - the deal is said to be all but done, with a fee needing to be agreed between the two clubs.

Anelka a target for Tottenham if they fail to sign Samuel Eto'o.

Didier Drogba admits Manchester United deserve to be champions and has blamed Chelsea's failed campaign on "complacency and a lack of concentration",

Lack of concentration like him and ballack taking free kicks abi? He has started behaving like adebayor again - these french transfers have something similar; speaking english when they ought to be speaking french!

Anyway, it seems we'll be meeting the richest club in Russia for the super cup. Mind you, am very optimistic about next week's showdown. My fears are that: even if we possess the never-say-die spirit,
we must correct this lack of concentration factor that sees us conceeding goals @ injury time;bolton and wigan alike.
Ronaldo is a very good 'DRIVER' and unless the centre referee next week is a man of principles, the dude makes referees call to his favour. He shocked me when he did same against wigan last week.  If they want to protect him, then we'll also protect drogba abi no be say do me i do you, God no go vex na!

they r too scared of conceeding goals so they start to panic! hope thet wunt happen on wed

@ Hucarson

if u were up to date, u would know Barca are bearly 24hrs away from landing Danial Alves for 26m dollars. the only stock left in the right back market now is Micah richards of ManCity. and it would take mountain of fire's intervention to seal that deal, i'd suggest u guys start looking for local dudes like Dolphin's right back, that guy is good, esp in conceding freekicks and penalties.

Man Utd is not too keen. There are more than 5 options on that right wing. Brazilian twins, Wes Brown, Gary Neville, Owen Hargreaves and even John O'Shea. United is packed to the hilt. If Alves moves else where, United will just about manage it and win another title next season. Cheesy

@ nateevs,

I think i remember u now, u are the Chelsea fan that was on Man Utd thread last summer predicting doom whe United couldn't win a single game in their first 3 games. Unless London clubs buckle their belts, i don't see the title coming down south for a while. United is keeping it for the 11th time unless Fergie suffers heatstroke. Cheesy

Ok guys, It's been a while. . .

We have less than two days to D-day, what are your thoughts?

Meanwhile we have Vidic playing mind games with the ref concerning Drogba. Guess he has not learnt from Benitez mistake.

Lampard is in terrific form. I think the outcome of the game from a Chelsea point of view will largely depend on the super trio - Lampard, Terry and Drogba. These guys carry the team on their backs.

It may be Drogba's last game for Chelsea sadly, and maybe Lampard's. They're our highest scorers this season and have been so for the last 4 or so seasons. They will surely be missed.

Spot light on Grant also, our record breaking manager - 1st Chelsea Manager to take us into the CL finals. We may be seeing the back of him too if we fail to win this final.

I expect an exciting game. I hope it does not get too cagey.

What do you guys think?

but I don't ever want to see u chavs win . . . .how on earth are u guys going to be the 1st London club to win the UCL  Embarrassed

IF UNA WIN . . .EVERYWHERE GO SCATTER, BECAUSE OF UR NUMEROUS AGBERO FANS  Grin

@Somze

I think it's either going to be Chelsea rampage from start to finish. . . . or the most cautious match ever played in the history of football. .

Chelsea won't like to be seen as the next london team that got to the finals and still did not win . . . and to be fair, who is to say we will get to the final anytime soon.

Not being able to steal the premiership back for them is very annoying to say the least. . . now we let them win the CL again? No way. .  not in this life. .

From what I hear, everyone is fit. . and going by the desire in the camp. . nothing short of victory my peeps, is what we expect. . They will need 4 Ronaldos to stop us this time. . it doesn't mata who they have on their team, bottom line is, they are going down.

I expect a very good match as the build-up begins. . .
