Wait a minute have we all forgotten so quiclky that a joker took us to three finals last season with this same squad even though he did no know jack-sh*t about football?
If the joker can, why do we think LFS will stop at anything less?

The stakes are higher now, amigo!!!

Man Utd's attack alone cost about £90 million(excluding Manucho and Ronaldo).
The Abu Dhabi group have shown intent that they are ready to challenge the BIG 4 this time around by snatching Robinho from Chelsea.
It's very normal for Chelsea fans to panic because Chelsea haven't really shown they are hungry to win any of the titles at stake.

Anelka is yet to prove he is an ace, Malouda, Kalou and Joe Cole are not inspiring. . . . Things look a bit hazy.
Apart from the game against Pompey(who were not interested), i am yet to see the acclaimed Samba Style football.
The next top is at Man City in what the British media have called THE CLASH OF THE CASH. . . . .The Battle Of The Billionaires.

@Jackal

I perfectly understand the condition. . . ManU spent about £60m last season while we spent just £13m on Malouda and you did not finish far well above us. . infact if we did not conceed an 85th min goal at SB against wigan we would have won the league. . plus if Terry did not slip, we would have won the CL. . that's aw close it was . . .

I do not think it's going to be any different now. . Berba will make ManU deadlier but hello! he's just a player and can't play every match. . take Berba away and I do not see aw different ManU is from last season. .

Mancity is going through a phase. . . Abram could have opened up his money-bag for £100m for the summer, but he's seen it all. . . I bet they all sat down and said OK LFS you got £8m for Deco, £16m for Bosingwa, let's see aw you get on . . because we can't pay £32m for robinho (not CAN'T afford). . . What LFS achieves in terms of football style display and success will determine how much he get's next season or at least January.

Now it's taken Roman four seasons to get to that point. . . Mancity will go through the phases . .
Make an explosive announcement by spending massively. .
get a handful of players for £100m. . .
win the FaCup. .  spend £200m season after. . .
finsh in big four not winning anything,
manger get's pissed off the owners are signing players they see on FOOTBALL MANAGER. . .
owners want CL glory for all they've spent, manager can't deliver . . . can't manage all the big egos. . . . Technical Director is employed
Manager resigns or gets sacked. . another comes in . . . on and on and on. . .

and they get to were Roman is now. . it' just a phase and I ain't scared of anything. . if Abu Dhabi now about football, then they should know they should not make offer Robinho £156,000 a week . .

So bring it on . . if Roman has to spend big he will. And on the pressing basis of need. . not because Abu Dhabi have . . . plus this time around Roman will be paying players worth (not £24m for Shaun Wright Phillips) . . and we made a statement with the Robinho case. .

i was thinking that now that essien is out of action for about 6 months , why don't we keep alex as cover for mikel, a far better option fot DM role then belleti or ivanovic, the tank(alex)in that role he can brush any player aside and has great passing range(as all brazilians do)and can shoot a thunderbolt and have also seen him in attacking positions doing quite well,

Alex is too slow on the turn to play DM. A good DM must be able to turn quickly.

Yes I am bored now

A challenge for you. 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables. Let's see if we can come up with anything witty. For example (except not so much the witty part):

Titus Bramble is

Ronaldo loves his

I'm sure you can beat those Smiley

Robinho doesnt seem very bright does he?

With all the recent press about him you think the boy would shut up and do his talking on the pitch.

I think his comments show a little bit of jealousy on his part that he didnt get to join Chelsea and he also is showing a lot of naivety having not played a single game in Prem yet 'vowing' to put Chelsea to the sword.

Maybe it is a good thing we didnt sign this boy. I questioned his attitude with his behaviour with Madrid and calling press conferences to cry to the press. Before i was willing to overlook that because we wanted to sign him. Now I just think he is a bit of a fool.

Essien's injury is a big blow to Chelsea. What LFS should do now that we are short of men is to give some of our youth players a chance to impress and stake a claim for a shirt. We have the likes of David Woods,Scott Sinclair and other good young players in the reserves and in the club academy. What do you have a youth academy for,if you can't blood the players into the first team.Give these boys a chance to impress.Look at clubs like Man utd(Fletcher,O'shea,Wes Brown),Man city(Johnson,Richards,Sturridge),Boro(Downing,Wheater,Johnson) and other clubs giving their homegrown starlets a chance to shine. Why can't Chelsea?I am pleased with recent comments by LFS that he downsized the first team in order to give our starlets the chance to break into the first team. This season,I hope to see one or two 'John Terry's' break into the first team.

England leading Croatia 3-1 in Zagreb.

Shows you how rubbish Gerrard and Beckham are.

Take them out of the team and England suddenly look like a decent team.

Gerrard cannot keep the ball well enough to succeed at International level.

r u shittin me? stevie g is BY FAR the best player england have.
how can you watch one game and conclude "england keep the ball well without gerrard"?  Huh
the main reason was their numerical advantage, not gerrards absence. did you see how modric ran them ragged before the sending off?
gerrard must have killed ur grandpa or slept with ur wife or sumn.

The England proformance last night highlighted the biggest question on all Englands fans lips over the last 4 years, can Gerrard and Lampard play together. This proves that Gerrard upsets the balance of big time charlies in the england set up. Drop him from now on in as England do not need him and he has never played well for England anyway. Thoe is better than Gerrard. . . . .

antics. This was just as bad as what Rivaldo did v Turkey when he went down like he'd been shot in the face. Robinho goes down like he just had his legs taken off when it's clear there wasnt any contact there. Watch at 2.26.

this is what i don't like. . . . Mikel may have a special way of holding the ball but can't use it around the midfield or make a pacy run in the middle. so if them bring mikel and essien for u to choose u will go for mikel in your team , i swear u will be sacked in the night . . . lol

CLARKE HANDS IN RESIGNATION
« #12637 on: September 12, 2008, 11:14 AM »

Chelsea have confirmed that assistant first team coach Steve Clarke has handed in his resignation.

It is understood Clarke - who has been at Chelsea for over 20 years as player and coach - wants to team up with his former Stamford Bridge team-mate Gianfranco Zola, who was confirmed as West Ham's new manager on Thursday

bros,

like it or not, MIKEL is the closest we have to makelele !
mikel vs essien in a DM position ? MIKEL !
mikel vs essien as HOLDING MIDFIELDER ? MIKEL !

the game against portsmouth should tell u what mikel does in the midfield.
have we seen a repeat performance since mikel stopped playing ? NO !
Essien is at his best when he's allowed to move forward; his effects will be undermined if he's confined to the center line.
on ur line up; Deco out there is hopeless ! how will he function Huh
