having a ball since saturday, installed mytv package and i get to see arsenal tv everyday, wenger was with the board and supporters and answered a lot of questions related to the departure of flamini and the situation with hleb, he specifically said he was looking to get a creative midfileder and a defensive cover and probably an attacker depending on eduardo's condition prior to the new season, he also said no players willbe leaving.
what impressed me was the way he did some analogy on alexandre song, he and walcott will play more prominent roles next season ,.

On on about being stingy, Where does it say Arsene Wenger "owner" (or even "shareholder") on the AFC portfolio? Nowhere, because he doesn't set the transfer/wages budget, guess what? Neither does Benitez, Grant, MOyes, Sven or even "Sir". AW works with what he is given by the Board every season, when you're in the initial stages of debt servicing on a massive new capital venture (that's the Emirates to you, sweetie) you tend not to throw cash around willy-nilly. I'm sure in your fantasy world, however, managers can splash down whetever they want for transfers, and then double the debt created by signing their guys to 100k per week contracts. Because it's just money, right? Someone somewhere will print you some more when you need it, right? Only a fool wd think arsenal should attempt to out-Abrahamovitch the Russian, that kind of 'fiscal responsibility' given our present financial status ends you up in Leeds territory. In its present state, L'Arse provides one of the most attractive propositions to any new owner looking to acquire - they have already made their major stadium outlay, they have a 130 year history which includes many glories, they enjoy global brand recognition and they have a management team which knows had to keep the club strong and still compete.
