I do not agree with Sulmaan Ahmad. Most people analysis things based on what they have cooked up in their heads already, and are not ready to look outside the box. Most soccer fans analysis this way. If adebayor is such a bad footballer as most people say he is, could it be that three top club managers are so dumb no to know that? Milan, Barcelona, all want this guy, and are ready to pay so much for him, that means he has got what it takes for that much money. Arsenal needs this player too, so they put a price to scare the other teams, but yet they are still coming for him. Some people say he misses so many goals, and that any striker could equally score as much as he did. Lets look at it this way, arsenal has had strikers in the past and even presently, how many of them has been able to score 30 goals? Last season there was Julio Baptista, he could not find his feet in front of goal. Even RvP, has no tallied that much goals for arsenal. you may say injury, yes thats still the difference Ade has. Ade has been improving since he came to arsenal in terms of goals scored every season, and his general performance. So lets still give him kudos. i guess its better for a striker to have 90 chances and score 30 goals in a whole
season rather than have just 20 chances and score 15 goals.

To all you fake arsenal fans who failed to see the OPTION B that ADE provides us in goal scoring. I hope when he leaves we will appreciate him. You guys don't know ANYTHING about football and y'all blind. As long as you can't see his qualities, potentials and how he has improved in goals scoring over the last 2 years then y'al have to stop talking about football. You guys don't know better than WENGER and other coaches who wanted him. They all know his POTENTIALS. Walcott was not doing great when he was bought, but only few could see his potentials. Y'AL SHOULD TRY TO SEE BEYOND YOUR NOSE. ADE has lots of potentials.

Firstly, you talk about how Adebayor performed poorly for Togo at the World Cup, and say that Mario Gomez and Huntelaar are far better - is that based on THEIR recent showings at Euro 08? Each player may have good goalscoring records, but these are in inferior leagues (less so Germany). Also, how is Drogba a better option? How much do you think Chelsea will want for him? And how does his goalscoring record of 8 goals in 17 starts (+ 2 sub) compare with Ade's 24 in 32 (+ 4 sub) last season? 0.42 goals per game vs. 0.67 goals per game respectively. On the issue of chances converted, you'D be surprised at how accurate 'Bayor is in the league - he converts 0.2308 of his shots (104 shots, 24 goals) compared with 0.1707 for Tevez (82 shots, 14 goals), 0.0833 for Rooney (85, 12), and 0.1829 for Berbatov (82,15). Ronaldo was marginally better at 0.2366 (131, 31), while Santa Cruz was at 0.2467 (77, 19) and Torres 0.25 (96, 24). Torres and Ronaldo may have the edge, but how much do you think THEY are worth? The latest talk has been of £60-70m for Ron and around double what Liverpool paid for Torres a year ago. I'D say Ade is worth £30m by those standards, especially if he has reached a better rate of converting chances than Rooney and Berbatov (valued at £25-30m recently), and all in the space of two and a half seasons (Ronaldo has had double that). He IS still young, and any manager worth his salt will tell you that keeping a unit together will increase success and consistency. Maybe that is another reason why Wenger wants to keep him.

Based on the statistics you gave,Cruz(77shots, 19 goals) has a better goal per shot ratio to ade(104 shots, 24 goals).So if we sell ade,waz wrong in going for cruz? besides if we sell ade for 30+million pounds,am sure we can get him for less than 20m pounds which should still leave us with some change for another player.sound business practice if you ask me.

Nobody's saying ade isnt a good striker,but suddenly becoming a great player after more than 8seasons of practising the trade must call him to question.arnt we tempted to think it waz a one season fluke (he wont be the first),will he be able to replicate it nxt season?If we grant him 120k nd he dosnt,what nxt? will he take a pay cut? Hell no he wont that I know.so where does that leave us.conned if you ask me.

So just like I said earlier,good business practice necessitates that if the MOFO refuses to take the offer 0f 60+k/wk on the table nd instead sticks to his gun for 120k/wk,we should sell nd move on.AFC is bigger than any one person,not even AW nor our board of tactless nincompoops nd certainly not adebayor.
