What La Liga sides are interested in him that are in the class of Arsenal when Bara and Real are not really interested? What of Serie A where Inter and AC are not interested and Roma isn't either? Hleb was making noise because he felt he had a deal with Interthe truth is, none of the mentioned clubs have the cash to buy Hleb right now because he isn't necessarily what they need so why splash out on him? It looked rosy initially when he was going to buy out his contract and be available on the cheap, but now that AW said he's going to play hardball and anyone buying must pay the FULL price, they are all having a rethink. Hleb on the cheap? Yes. . . pay the full cost of the player? I'm just worried we havent signed any big names - not necessary big names but players we believe might be able to handle the job and adapt quickly . . . the main player i would love wenger to get is david silva - i doubt valencia would sell him though . . . |

Hleb on the cheap? Yes. . . pay the full cost of the player? He's not that good, we'll take Arshavin instead I will not be surprised at all if he goes to play for some midtable team out of desperation or if he remains at Arsenal. Arshavin in the EPL?? Whats the difference between Hleb n Arshavin?? Both of em are light-weights. Arshavin can't cut it in the EPL where defenders are very physical and crunchy--tackles are the order of the day. . . . When Arshavin faced Spanish defenders he looked lost and completely marked out of the game. He would be facing that week in week out in the EPL. . . against top defenders like Vidic, Terry, Woodgate, Agger and Lescott. The Russian would be a complete waste pipe in a team like Arsenal. |

Note I wasn't talking about Arsenal when I said 'we' - I'm talking about the clubs that purportedly wanted Hlebthey'd take Arshavin instead - same age, more hunger to succeed and and obvious desire to score goals unlike Hleb who ' pass! pass!! pass!!! pass!!!' is ingrained in his brain.  @ tboy silva would be good, but is in essence not much better than Nasri, so I'm not too concerned. There is no real need to be worried, apart from some small transfers here and there, there has been little movement in the transfer market as a whole - Bosingwa and Alves are the only notable transfers to be mentioned so far. I feel what is needed is one transfer to open the floodgates and the players will begin to flow around. . . I just wonder who that player will be. |

Compare Fab's full debut season to Anderson's and get back to me!!!!! Alexander Hleb is the most under-rated player in Arsenal . . . . His intelligence surpasses that of most Arsenal players and they can't read his passes. The dude is all about attracting opponents towards himself to create huge gaps for team-mates. . . . . He needs to play around intelligent players like the lads in Barcelona, Man Utd, Real Madrid or Milan. Ade, Eduardo, RVP and Diaby can't handle his subliminal concepts. |
