arsenal fans,  i can't really place my fingers on what their problems are. but i sure know that they have a lot of them. wenger's bid for gallas just seemed like the right thing to do. everyone saw it comin. the saga with cole and gallas' unrest at chelski all added up. not that he actually wanted an already established player when he can get a player from a club in cote d'ivoir for 20 thousand pounds. like he did eboue and toure. i wonder how much he'll be willin to part with to get gallas,  let's see if the price for gallas wont chase him away like he did during the juve sudden transfers. a reporter asked wenger if he was going to take advantage of juve's problem to get  good players, guess what wenger said. "No, we wont be buying any of those players because we can't pay their wages". is wenger also arsenal' s accountant?? My point, wenger is very uptight about spending.

and as for comparison i dnt do that (no real basis for it apart from the fact that some people like exotic names  )  but they are in the premiership now, so

Henry is arguably as good as sheva though they have different styles so a direct comparison cannot be made,  and ballack? well i admit no one is currently as good as he is, but we had vieira, and we'll develop

only ignorant gunner fans will insist we only go for u-20 players, Arsene prefers young players, which is what his policy shows but he'll buy experience once in a while when needed - lehmann, suker, gilberto, hleb, rosicky, campbell and so on.

our core is young, and we like togrow teams not assemble 'big boys' and then start making noise all over the place.

I don't claim prof 'formed' campbell or lehmann, but it is without question that any player that comes under the tutelage of AW definitely adds something to his game. which is what will also happen if gallas comes.


Lastly point of correction chelsea has three over 30's -include Makalele four if you count Crespo, since he is officially just 'on loan'

Pennant was indisciplined thats why he left arsenal, as for the others they can't say wenger didnt add something to their game, the fact that in the end they were not up to scratch is just what happens - no one achieves 100% success with players.

Henry was basically a winger and he's been converted to one of the best strikers in the world today, isn't that worth mentioning?
