Stunning second half perfromance by the Broncos to kill off San Diego and move to 6-0. After beating Dallas, NE, and Chargers in a row, they deserve the bye week.

Week 7:
Colts visit St. louis: 6-0  Grin
Viking @ Steelers: Possible game of the week. Lets see how Bretts anthritis hold up against some Hines defence
Cardinals @ Giants: Can Kurt Warner follow the Brees examples. While the Cradinals have the passing offense, they lack the running game that would sell the 'play fake'.
Falcons @ Dallas: Looking forward to more INTs from Romo
Saints @Dolphins: Meow!!!

Eddie Royal is a beast a kickoff TD and a punt return TD

@bawo
Shame on you and your Bears y'all made Kyle Orton look bad! Its very clear now that y'all got mugged the Broncos swapped Cutler for a real QB that pussycat without the cat is irritatingly over-rated

Vikings vs Steelers ope ooh Palomalu don come back

Bears vs Bengals should be interesting

Richard Seymour says the Raiders would make the playoffs. I laugh in Auto-tune

you don't sign QB's for the regular season and definitely not the first 6 games of the season.   Ever wonder why manning didn't get his props until he defeat the pats in the AFC championship game?   Kyle Orton is an average QB who can't i repeat can't throw the long ball.  This would become evident soon.    Watch the last broncos drive of the fourth quarter against New England and you would see how average of a QB orton is . It's easy to look like an all world QB when your receivers are marshall and eddie royal.  See what happened to brady's stats when his receivers were randy moss and wes welker.

There is a reason the bronco's aren't scrambling to sign orton to an extension.   He is a flash in the pan!!!!!!

keep hating on cutler while he takes us to the promise land  Cool

Pass the Reggie pon the left hand side jor you make Cutler look like Big Ben Roethlisberger! Jay Cutler has not even done jack in the regular season not to talk of playoffs. Did i hear you say Orton can't throw long? Did u see the TD pass he threw to Tony Scheffler abeg get your facts straight and come and explain why Jay Cutler has thrown 7 red zone INT's in less than a season and a half

Promise land ke? Hehehe i am still laughing in Auto-tune better accept that Cutler isn't good enuff now! It would hurt more at the end of December when you painfully realize  that you can't even make the wild-card game

 A-40 don't mind Bawo, he doesn't want to fathom the possibility that Orton is actually a solid player and Chicago was unable to utilize him properly.

  Vikings vs Steelers is def a game to watch . . . it will be even more interesting if Bratt adds considerably to his INT record.

Big ben is overrated. that defense and not the offense won those championships.  a QB that scrambles wildly and takes too many sacks.

Quote

no short running game this season or last season. the broncos used five backs last season. matt forte has underperformed in the red zone including fumbling twice.  yes cutler has to cut down the INT but he wins more than he loses more.  proof would be the game against the seahawks and steelers.   culter is a better 3rd down QB than orton.  you guys are looking at box scores rather than watching the actual games

off course, one pass and he is the next peyton manning.

lol orton is a solid player after 6 games.  why aren't the bronco's signing him to an extension then?

oh wait that's right, he still can't throw the long ball or win games for you in the 4th quarter.  matt cassell was decent last year, where is he?

the law of averages states that kyle orton would come back to earth.  cedric benson and kyle orton are out of chicago for a reason.  They are not winners

@Jesoul
Don't mind Bawo he is still in denial stage the next stage is despair and finally resignation. They have swapped teams and its looking like a heist by the Broncos cos the contrasts in results have been glaring
Bratt has been playing well to be honest and we all know something needs to be done about Adrian Peterson i only hope Palomalu can re-inforce our secondary which has been shaky in his absence

@Bawo
Lemme counter your arguments one by one

As for Ben being over-rated did you see that less than 2minute drive at Superbowl XLIII? Our defence went to bed in the 4th!! Any grid-iron new jack would call it scrambling an O.G would call it improvisation. The Steelers would not have won two SB's without him.Gba beski

Secondly i can see you blaming it on the running game,do the Steelers have a running game? What kind of whack QB is Cutler that cannot connect with his Tight-Ends from about 5yards! even Romo ain't that whack. A QB that can't get u a score in the red-zone is no QB! Besides stop referencing the Steeler game we kicked that game away abeg Cutler didn't win jack. You even beat the Seahawks without their starting QB that don't count bruv

Thirdly you said he can't throw long i just showed you he recently did on MNF. Orton would be signed the Broncos front-office are not as hasty as y'all. Have you thought for a nano-second that maybe your Bears are whack and maybe Cutler isn't good enough to save y'all

Finally are you per chance calling Cutler a winner? Hehehe thats the oxymoron of the week! Cedric Benson is doing fine with the Bengals and Kyle Orton can't shout. I hope you don't kill yourself if any of those guys make the playoffs and Cutler and em Bears don't

yeah because trades are decided based on 6 games.  whew kyle orton to the pro bowl. remember jason campbell was playing like a pro bowler in the ist half of last season. where is jason campbell now? that's right.

oh he is and this shall be proven soon.   I'm not worried about the team this early.  matt forte would get his stride back and we would be fine.

@Bawo
Firstly Mendenahl is still a new-jack we can't rely on him consistently

Secondly i'm sure you where as high as a kite when you typed this! Are you comparing your schedule to theirs? They beat the Cowboys,Pats,Bengals and Chargers! Name one decent team you beat besides the Steelers! Did you even see K.Orton's QB rating after the Chargers game? It was 114.5!

Thirdly that was Roethlisberger's 2nd year in the league! He is a big reason why they even got there in the first place. They where wild card entrants just like the Giants no one saw them coming

Fourthly even Dante Cuolpepper or whoever throw for the Lions throw the odd TD here and there. Johnny Knox is quite an athlete i dunno why you are snoozin on him

Lastly Cutler is a post-season nobody who was at the forefront of one of the biggest meltdowns in regular season history! that might be the definition of a winner on planet Mars but definitely not Earth. Broncos fans that grew up watching winners like John Elway are yet to forgive Cutler for his role in that team's collapse! Who loses a 4 and a half or was it 5 game advantage over their division rivals
Bawo this Cutler-mania is not allowing u use your medulla oblongata u better stop before u land in rehab

A few more interesting games this week
Cardinals @ Giants: Barring any unforeseen circumstances i see the Cardinals being pounded they simply suck in the East

Saints vs Dolphins: If MVP Drew Brees shows up Sunday the Dolphins don't have a prayer!

Patriots vs Buccaneers: The Wembley game!! Pats should win easy

Eagles vs Redskins: Two division rivals that are wallowing in mediocrity at the moment! You know you stink when u can't score a TD against the Raiders thanks to y'all Richard Seymour thinks the Raiders can make the playoffs! How's that for free madness? The Redskins score less than 17 a game so may the less mediocre team win on MNF

The Vikes had the momentum to win the game, but the shot themselves in the foot head (twice!). Adrian is a mad beast. did u see how he ran over william gay?

Dolphins need to get it together and improve their D against big plays. Just like against the colts, they lost a game that seem to have been heavily in their favor.

Poor Manning and the Giants, have gone from 5-0 to 5-2, and Dallas is closing in.

Week 8:
Broncos v Ravens (end of Broncos unbeaten record?)
49ers v Colts (7-0  Grin)

@Bawo
See the Cedric Benson wey u talk say useless did u see how he destroyed y'all? The two players you called losers Benson and Orton have taken turns to disgrace your team!! I think your Bears are under a curse!

Mr Cutler threw 3INT's again! that puts him in double digits for INT'S i think he is 2nd sef behind DelHomme i can't wait for a clash with him and Delhomme it would be an INT fest. Lets call a spade a spade Cutler is crap

Also whats wrong with these quarter-blacks? Vince Young,Jason Campbell, Campbell got sacked 6 times and just kept commiting turnover after turnover and the entire O-Line followed suit. Now i see why they score so few pts

@Biina
I think ma Steelers D just decided to take the game by the jugular so much so Brett Favre did not even have the cojones to give Adrian Peterson the ball! 2 of our TD's came from turnovers

As for the Giants once again the Cardinals ability to play D was under-rated

The Saints where something else,coming from 21 points down to score 40pts in just 30mins. Drew Breezy is looking so MVP right now

You might call me a doubting Thomas but i think the Colts have had a very soft schedule so far! I want to see them beat some more contenders

Week 8
Giants vs Eagles: Now thats going to be a tough one Manning and the Giants might go 5-3 if the sack-happy Eagles D go on rampage again
biina
Re: NFL 09-10 Season Is Here: Where Are All The NFL Fans?
« #1392 on: October 27, 2009, 08:29 PM »

Colts have a soft schedule? Shocked the only thing softer is freshly baked Agege bread on friday afternoon.! Grin
So far, they have played 2 winless teams (Titans and Rams), 2 teams that are <5.00 (Miami 2-4 and seattle 2-4), Jacksonville (3-3) and Arizona being the best so far (4-2)
The only 'tough' teams they havent played are the Raiders and Bucs  Grin
Their only decent tests will be against the Pats in Wk10, Ravens in wk11 and (the likely game of the season) Broncos in wk 14
The rest ( Texans x2, Titans, Jags, Jets, Bills, and 49ers) at combined 17-22 after week 7, are less likely to put up any stiff resistance.
Its the kind of schedule you hope for as a first year head coach. They will end up with at least 13-3 and Manning will get MVP no. 4 (Brees ratings arent consistent enough)
Mind you, I  ain't complaining. Grin

Cutler has a strong arm, but his game IQ is questionable. He can make the throws, but the question is, can he make the 'right' throws?. That aside, they need a new offensive coord in Chicago.Its a passing league, and Chicago just aren't throwing it well enough.

The black QBs (and I think someone has said this earlier) need to be better students of the game. The greatest assests of the Mannings and other great QBs, is less of making great throws, but how they read and manage the game. Compare Romo and Eli, and Romo is better at keepiing a play alive and making difficult throws, but Eli is better at reading the defence, making the right call/decisions, and managing the game. Thus making him the better QB. Even the likes of Orton and Cassel and not the best at throwing it, but are very good at managing the game. Black QBs focus on athleticism and less on intellect.

The saints are looking like superbowl contenders, but I am wondering if they peaked too early. Like the Colts, they have a favorable schedule (6 of the remaining 10 games are agaisnt Rams, Bucs x2, Carolina x2, and Shitskins)  and should make the playoffs with ease.

I expect the Giants to get back to winning ways against the Eagles. They always seem to handle their divisional biz, and lost faith in the Eagles after they lost to the raiders without a TD Shocked

I think some divisions are already getting settled. My predictions

NFC East:Giants? (cant count out the Eagles and unreliable Dallas)
NFC North:Vikings
NFC South: Saints
NFC West: Arizona
Eagles, Dallas and Falcons are the possible wild cards

AFC East: Pats
AFC North:Steelers
AFC South: Colts
AFC West: Denver
Bengals for the wild cards. San diego and Houston are damn too incosistent.

Re: NFL Season 09-10 Where Are All The NFL Fans?
« #1393 on: October 28, 2009, 12:45 AM »

@Biina
Their schedule is just annoying and i don't think Manning should get that MVP he's faced very soft teams it would be erroneous to give him that title. Drew Brees has faced tougher opponents

Cutler is just an over-rated fella who folds under pressure he lacks the ability to improvize and keep plays alive he is poor with rushes and blitzes and is always one throw away from an INT. Any Kim,Sue and Sally can throw a football it takes more than that to be a good QB and he's not even as good a thrower as a McNabb and Kurt Warner and these guys are quite older than he is

Romo is too erratic even though he is quite an improvizer,Eli is better though. These quarter-blacks annoy sometimes they need to be reminded they are not running backs

I'm still iffy on the Saints but they can defend now at the sametime i want to see them win a close game

I would not be so quick to give the Giants that game. The Eagles are a different animal at home and they do know how to kill the Giants, Last season's divisional playoff game was a case in point

As for playoffs i still think its early sha but ma list is

AFC
Colts
Steelers
Broncos
Pats

Wildcard candidates
Chargers
Bengals
Jets
Ravens

NFC
Saints
Vikings
Giants
Cardinals

Wildcard candidates
Packers
Cowboys
Eagles
Falcons

Week 8

This is when you make predictions jare, and not in  week 17  Grin. the fun is all in the uncertainty.

I don tire for packers. One week they are looking like a playoff team, next there QB is getting sacked like Campbell Grin
Still it should be a great game, with all the emotional stuff,  and hopefully a healty dose of INTs courtesy of Brett.

After their loss to the Bears in the NFC finals, I have decided to 'wait and see' with Saints, but they are really getting my hopes up this season. Colts v Saints Superbowl will be sweet. Grin

Young back as QB for the titans against Jags. Hope he delivers and keeps the job.
Getting them their first win should ensure that. Seems Fisher was pressured into playing him.

Most of the experts + accuscore are picking Ravens over Broncos  2:1. Going to be  a sweet game with some 'smash mouth' action at the line of scrimmage Grin

it's obvious you are watching the box score and not watching actual games.   The bears offensive line has frequently forced jay cutler to run out of the pocket and make plays.

Jay used his feel to make plays against the sea hawks.  There are not many quarterbacks that can survive the horror that is the bears offensive line.  This is the reason why frank omiyale has being demoted for this weeks game.   it's silly to say a QB that has thrown for 4000 yards in a season is not as good a thrower as mcnabb.  This is the same criticism that dogged drew brees in his years at san diego. see where he is now.

You critics are something else.   All cutler has to his cut down his INT's, throw more to his tight ends and gbam the bears are back in business.

Me watch just the Boxscore? Stop sniffing barbiturates bobo. I saw three Broncos games last season,The Pro Bowl and 2 Bears games this season. . He didn't start choking at the Bears so your O-Line is not entirely at fault

He used his feel to play the Seahawks? Hahaha talent dey waste! Go and audition for Def Comedy Jam or Saturday Night Live cos even Stevie Wonder can use his feel to play the Seahawks. Those ones dey play D at all? Where was his feel against the Falcons & Bengals. Its actually disrespectful of me to mention him with elite throwers like McNabb and Warner i hope they forgive me. He would struggle to be on Matt Ryan's level sef

Can he cut down his INT's? I wouldn't bet on it! When a QB throws 7 INT's in the red zone alone in a season and a quarter you begin to wonder

@Biina
I thought i told you the Eagles know how to fuckup the Giants and would most likely do so. The NFC East is now wide open! Things have improved for the Cowboys since they made Miles Austin their marquee WR we shall find out if he's legit or a fluke in due course

TBH, Your posts on NFL these days have got me questioning your sanity. Apart from the fact that form is temporary and class is permanent. Did it occur to you that both the Vikings & Pats comfortably lead their divisions?

Orton's non deep throwing ass has given them 6 straight wins! Sorry but Eddie Royal does not score punt return and kick off TD's every game, they where bound to lose sometime. His non deep throwing ass threw about 2TD's and copped him a 114.5 passer rating against the Chargers

The Chargers are playoff contenders so i don't know what you are on? You have typed enuff opaks for one day. Go to the library and get a chic to give you some medulla oblongata(head) if you've listened to "Poke her face" you would understand me
