NTA 2 Channel 5 Now Live On Comcast Digital Cable In MD

Yes!  You heard it first here. It's on Channel 677 but you need a digital box to receive it. Currently it's free so hopefully it stays that way.  The picture quality is also very good.

If you don't have it elsewhere, I suggest you either call your cable company or move to MD (the real Nigerian state in yankee!).

MHz Networks partnered with Comcast to bring it to MD because they know the naija customer base here is second to none. Also with Verizon Fios TV uprooting Comcast customers by the thousands, they decided to do something to keep their African (especially Nigerian) subscribers. I watched NTA Newsnight Extra live last night for the first time in 15 years! and it was as if I never left naija, simply amazing.

Absolutely, just put it on Channel 677.

Now what I'm trying to research is how to get a programme lineup for the channel because it's not available anywhere so far. That was I know when to set the VCR for programs I want to record while away.

Yes I have Tivo (DVR) but that's not what I mean. What I'm trying to say is, you know how if you have a digital box you can use your cable TV remote to check what's playing when on a particular channel, it just shows up as "Nigerian Television Authority" so you have to wait for NTA to show a lineup of programs showing for the day so as to have an idea of when to watch or record whatever program you might miss if you are not home.

I'm not sure. I only started viewing the channel yesterday so time will tell.

You can get the basic package but just make sure you get a Digital Box or Converter and once it's installed, tune in to Channel 677 and Bob's your uncle!.

TX has the highest number of Nigerians. I mean houston alone can take over the people in MD. Talk more of Dallas. And then some!

i have comcast digital cable and i can't even tune to channel 677. i stay in columbia, md

i actually have the latest one with the dvr. what part of MD is this? I'm asking because maybe its not in all counties yet.
