Hello All  , Did anyone here know how to boot [someone from a chat room]? please if any, let the person come to my aid and teach me. I have been embarassed a lot in the chat room, anytime I want to talk on the mic i got booted it is very painful. Please someone should teach me I want to revenge  <snip: no emails please> |

Sorry about that, Saintjoe,
You cannot boot someone from a chat room unless you're the host (moderator, administrator).
It is possible that you were booted from those chat rooms because voice chat is not allowed by their rules. This rule makes sense, because if about 50 people all over the world are trying to do voice chat at the same time, they will not be able to understand each other.
It's a yahoo chat room, right? You can announce in the main room "does anyone want to do voice chat with me?" and then when someone privately says "hi" you can activate the voice chat.
Does this solve your problem?

No!!! u don't understad. This booting is not only when u want to talk on the mic even when u are in the room with out offending anybody u might get booted. And not by the moderators or Administrators. But by simple users like you. The propblem is that they have a program they use for booting when u download the program u can then boot who you want to boot, by opening the program add type the persons yahoo id there and send it It comes like tons of ims like bomb and it will hang your system. U minght not understand cos u haven't experineced it only those that have experienced it will know what i am talking about.

I'll also sympathise with you, but it's probably better just to forget about it and avoid the idea of voice chatting on a crowded chat room!

I've been booted in yahoo chat rooms like that. It happens mostly in hackers lounge. Just change room.

I got people askn how to boot people on chat rooms. That question is really funny but not dat funny cos most guys from advanced countries do regard we Nigerians as nothing to write home about and in turn get us booted. well, I got a cool solutions about dat. Booting is not something u can teach someone it is just tha application of boot softwares which u can get online @ www.yahoo-playgirl.com, www.livehacking.com, www.hnc3k.com,www.programmersheaven.com lots more but i would recommend yahoo-playgirl for your tool. on yahoo-playgirl, make a sign-up, then sign-in,go to community,click on download and then download your boot software......................here u go.....and blieve no one can hurt u on net. Never try to be silly with this. more to come on hacking,cracking,programming e.t.c  not we Nigerians again  |

Heres my 2cents,
The "boot" programs are available, and there are many asshats in Yahoo chat who use them freely to harrass people. These programs can do as little as disconnect your chat client, or delete your account. I am a programmer and was heavily involved in this for years, although I was one of the guys who would come and eject people who were harassing rooms. Another thing that I want to make well known, if you take on the responsibility of a "booter", you will also be harassed, and a target for all of the n00bs who download a new boot program. If you are being harrassed in Yahoo chat there are lots of good people who can help you. Look in the hackers lounge, or Married but Looking 1-15 rooms. Typically you wont get booted if you are just minding your business and having friendly conversations with your friends. However there will be jerks who will come in from time to time to try out their new progs. There are also chat clients that they say are "unbootable". I happen to know that this is NOT true, they all can be booted, even the new YTK. Its a crap shoot folks, and they way its been for years in Yahoo chat. Just be nice, you never know who you are talking to online. And remember my old saying, "There is always someone badder". Peace. Damien

You people are assholes you know that!!!!!!!!! You can boot someone in a chat room using is dynamic ip, static ip and the default gateway!!!! You can even control his pc using that information!!! shutdown and ect, !!! And you can do this using the software i created!!!
