@Ashiwaju, I am happy you mentioned the facts. Most of this people are educated but because of unemployment, they started their own businesses thereby creating jobs datz why everyone is running to Nnewi now. Another one was because Main Market was misbehaving and Nnewi people decided to take their businesses to Nkwo Nnewi.

That most of the people are businessmen per se, does not mean that us their children ain't smart. Nnewi gat da highest PHD, so I heard from both people 4rom nnewi and people who are not.  my dad is a PHD holder himself and all his degrees are 4rom abroad. They all now send their kids abroad etcccccccccccccccccccc, Atleast we are known for something
positive, lol.

Anywayz, I am in Canada and not Nigeria not to talk of Nnewi,  I didn't talk any UME or so, don't know what it feels like to write one and bearly know anything about it but I know itz an external exam Tongue

post ume's the best thing to happen to nigerian universities. In my alma mater, Uniben they do it so well, all the cheats and lightweights are screened out.
funny enough, it actually gives y'all more of a chance to enter the courses u want. if u score 220, without the post ume how could u compete with the cheats that score 310? this way, if ure a genuine smart guy, the post ume screens all those with the fantastic scores, giving u a chance to get in the course u want.
y'all stop worrying. i heard the exam is basically easy, if uve got reasonable brains. If ure a cheat, worry on!

LYMANGEE Agir, a 38-year-old candidate, who applied to study History at the Benue State University (BSU), has emerged the best in this year's University Matriculation Examination (UME), scoring 330 marks.

Agir also made history as the first candidate from Benue State to achieve the feat. The second best result went to Inerepamo David Odom (18), from Bayelsa State, who scored 328 and had applied to study Business Administration at the Delta State University. Twenty-year-old Sulaiman Gwani Lawi, an indigene of Kano, came third with a score of 327. His place is assured at the Bayero University, Kano, where he had applied to study Islamic Studies.

Charlisco, NRD means no registration details, this implies that the candidate didn't filled the form properly before sumitting the form. no information and subject offer on the form.

Am so happy 4 all u guys but sorry 4 interrupting this success forum with failure because mine was cancelled 4 D 3rd time.
I`m 22yrs old and eventhough I earn more than 50,000 naira monthly from my job I wouldn't  trade it 4 my education, now tell me guys what should I do?settle 4 part-time studies or Poly as I intend  2 study Medicine and u know this institutions don`t offer medicine, not ruling out going abroad to study if d right connection presents itself. it hurts me most seeing  my study partners  all in school some nearing graduation and am here battling with JAMB.
    Please advice wisely. thanks.

@ Oracle, I hope your intended school will still be comfortable with your score. It should be above 200 to make post-ume. We are all afraid unless you have got someone to pull strings.

Go to any JAMB office for directives on how to change your University or course or both.It is unfortunate that the NUC Accreditation results came out much after candidates had filled out their forms and many had even submitted. Things in Nigeria go the other way around. Like putting the cart before the horse thing. Many candidates and students don't even know what is going on or what accreditation is all about. Just put on your jeans and hipsters and head to school and classrooms. It's bad running a Dept. without any facility and where there is, no or low staff strength. What are we doing? Who are we cheating? No nonsense HOD doesn't know how and what to do to bring out the best in his Dept. Students don't complain. How can they, when their parents are happy giving them snakes and calling them bread? I heard some VCs are at loggerheads with the NUC, I can't stop laughing.

Well, if you ever want full list of the accreditation releases from NUC, tell me your e-mail address. It's up to 212KB and this site takes 200KB max. So hurry to make amends. It's really crazy!

My younger brother scored 284 for medicine at UNILAG, I wonder if he will get it, as it appears medicine may be higher than that.
