Madonna doesn't do anything out of the fondness of her heart, she does it because of her reputation (whatever that is), her obsessions and her personal gains.
Good that she's providing for children but do you think if adopting poor African orphans hadn't been "tushed up" by Ange and her likes, she'd be doing it? You think if it wasn't a thing of status for her, she'd be doing it?
I used to be a huge Madonna fan, these days, she's just blah.
I still like her songs though.

Listening to Sleep Song by Rooney. Kiss Kiss
Will try and see it.  Too busy these days. All I managed this week was 20 minutes or so of State of Play. Crowe was a seedy, gum-popping,overweight,cynical, veteran journalist and there was some suicide thingie with Ben Affleck.

Yes you did.  Grin
Please tell me the rest. There's simply no way I can manage to finish it. I stopped where Affleck shows Crowe the dead girl laughing on his phone, asking, "Does that look like someone who was going to commit suicide?"
What happens after that? What's the movie about?

Yeah it turns out she was working for the bad company, had been planted in Affleck's office to gather information but then she fell in love with Affleck and wanted out, found out she was also pregnant as well. The company was upset she wanted out and Crowe & co concluded she was killed for that. Affleck wants to use this to fight the company and bring them down and Crowe gets the exclusive story/interview for his paper. Affleck n his wife make up and look like they'll get back together.

Well long story short, Crowe put a few loose ends together and figured out Affleck was lying and had actually found out earlier his mistress was working with that company - hired the military dude to follow and watch her and the dude who turns out to be looney & completely devoted to Affleck, killed the girl becos she betrayed him. Crowe confronts Affleck, he confesses and Crowe says he'll out him.

End of story  Smiley

Tim Burton presents ~ Alice in Wonderland
I never liked this story Undecided, hated the movie back then but Tim Burton has always been able to present some warped, surreal, colorful, weird story that is a feast for my senses.  I bow for this man oo Grin

Mia Wasikowska As Alice ~19-year-old Australian actress Mia Wasikowska earned critical praise in last year's HBO drama "In Treatment." She also appeared in the WWII drama "Defiance," and was named one of Variety Magazine's "10 Actors to Watch." Burton says he chose her because "she just had that certain kind of emotional toughness, that makes her kind of an older person but with a younger person's mentality." Alice will be the only character in Wonderland who isn't enhanced in some degree with makeup or digital manipulation.

I remember her in In Treatment.  .  .she was awesome!

Johnny Depp As The Mad Hatter Grin ~ In the book, Carroll only ever calls the character "The Hatter," but he does appear in the chapter "A Mad Tea-Party." The look in the movie is a variation on the book's illustrations by John Tenniel, with his wild hair, oversized bowtie, and "10/6" label pinned to his giant hat. This is Burton's seventh time working with Depp over the past 20 years. He told the Los Angeles Times he likes to work with Depp because "[he] doesn't like to be the same way twice. That's good, it always keeps it fresh and all."

My husband is tres talented Kiss

Helena Bonham Carter As The Red Queen Grin ~ The Red Queen is the villain of the second book, "Through the Looking Glass," though in many adaptations the character is combined with the Queen of Hearts from the first story. In the original illustrations, she is depicted as a legless chess piece. For the movie, Bonham Carter's head will be digitally enlarged to about three times its actual size. She has worked on five previous movies with Burton, and they have two children together.

Love her! She first caught my eye in 'Merlin'.  .  .ever since i've been following her.

Anne Hathaway As the White Queen ~ In "Through the Looking Glass," the White Queen claims to be over one hundred and one years old, but she seems to experience time backwards. So it follows Carroll's twisted logic that when Alice returns the Queen would be young. While Anne Hathaway looks very different in the role with her long white hair, her appearance will not be digitally manipulated. Hathaway told MTV that while she was happy to get a chance to work with Burton, she was most excited to share scenes with Johnny Depp. She said, "I wish I could be so cool about it [but] I am such a huge fan, I felt really embarrassed. He would catch me staring at him."

I know what you mean Anne Grin Loving the white locks sha

Matt Lucas As Tweedledee and Tweedledum ~ Tweedledee and Tweedledum appear in several versions of "Alice in Wonderland," including Walt Disney's 1951 animated film, though they actually don't appear until "Through the Looking-Glass." Carroll never specifies they are twins, but that is how Tenniel drew them. English comedian Matt Lucas plays both roles in the movie. Lucas is well known in the U.K. as half of the sketch comedy team on the show "Little Britain."

There are, of course, many more signature characters from the books that will appear in the movie that are yet to be revealed. Michael Sheen plays the White Rabbit, Crispin Glover is the Knave of Hearts, Alan Rickman is the Caterpillar, Steven Fry is the Cheshire Cat, and Christopher Lee will be the Jabberwock. Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" opens on March 5, 2010.

I adore Alan Rickman Kiss Kiss

I was swimming in the pacific. I noticed a patch of what seemed to be oil from a spillage. Upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a spill of oestrogen hormones vials. I could swear voices were coming out of the * cough * cesspool * cough * saying things about Johnny Depp, Alan Rickman. Fighting voices would be more appropriate. Next thing I knew I woke up & found myself on this thread. Fancy that!
