@others

I prefer transformer 2  to Transformer 1, transformer 2  seems to have more story depth and action sequence than part one.

So I finally finished Funny Games.
I have just one reaction that should capture my sentiments succinctly: Angry

No2A, you're not alone on this one & Spiked you were right on about the hair pulling. Firstly if it hadn't been recommended by our seasoned resident movie critic in Karma I woulda turned it off after the first 20mins - it started off so slow.

Now I get it, I really do get the message the writer/director were trying to pass across and the whole reality/fiction thing but still  Angry  what a weird movie, pointless violence, disjointed and abstract dialouge, no background no foundation it just appears and hangs, drawn out scenes (movie could really be 30mins long), and I must say a very weak pathetic excuse for a man/husband who's 'paralyzed' with a 'scratch on his knee' and can't defend his family from a teenage boy barely out of puberty armed with only a golf club - very unrealistic or very pathetic, take your pick. Badasses like Anton Chigurh leave a car wreck with a bone sticking out of his arm and he strolls away like its a paper cut.

Sorry Karma, this movie only left me annoyed.

lmao Transformers no be pointless violence  Tongue

I think the movie is pretty much about how fascinated we are with violence nowadays. Remember the scene where it seems Noami gets revenge, notice how we the audience suddenly cheer when she gets the gun but then back to being disappointed when he rewinds that scene to be something else. It's like why do we pretend to be against violence but like it when its against someone we dont like. Also it's an answer to all the sadist movies we have now where we have people getting off on watching people get tortured, here the audience is literally the ones being tortured by watching these boys do these things and knowing its not gonna be a good outcome like we usually expect

haha It annoyed me too dear, human nature  Wink

Part 1 is better story wise, part 2 is better action wise.  Atleast this time, you get to see the fights more clearly and optimus hammered them wella Grin I loved that it was action from beginning to end, no slowing down Cheesy I loved the part bumble bee peeled off the metal(?) - U have to gist me more about your cartoon preferences.

- Funny enough voltron was also one of my favourite cartoons while i was still quite young in primary school and still watching NTA Ibadan ( Grin i don old small  Grin).

- Voltron is still the best japanese styled cartoon that i liked till date.

- Sometimes i suspect that transformers was created out of the original concept of the Voltron cartoon.

- I would also be pleased if someone can take up the challenge of Voltron cus that is one classic and badass cartoon series.

- Wow, i am impressed with u @jesoul, u seem to be the first female in like 20yrs who seemed to like Voltron, hope we were not cloned from the same darwinian gene by any chance using methods orchestrated by KAG and co.

---------------------------

- Exactly about the life and death thing and the Creator @jesoul good we agree on that (u are now starting to creep me out  Grin cus the tut process are getting a little too similar for comfort  Grin). Infact sometimes i feel like i am a freak, cus i find it difficult to grieve like other people cus one of the important things on my mind wen i hear someone close died seems to be the question of whether they are right with the Creator or not.

Very few sequels are great.  .  .I only think of Spidey 2 and X-men 2 (blockbusters)
But some sequels are marginally good.  They still bring money even if they aren't so good. Besides pitiful is subjective Grin  Don't make me break out the Eddie Murphy card Grin

Holy flying spaghetti monster
Shocked Shocked Shocked  Grin Grin now this similarity in movie taste is starting to get weird because I also like doomsday movies most especially if they are science-fiction:

- Independence day
- War or the Worlds
- Knowing
- Armageddon
- Asteroids
- Deep Impact
- The day after Tomorrow

I have also seen the trailer for 2012, I like the trailer and i like the concept of the movie and i must confess that the movie also gives me the creeps cus there is a little bit of cosmological science problem surrounding the Mayan Myth about 2012 from which the movie was developed from. Hence on one hand my mind wants to see the movie, on the other hand its kinda creepy knowing there is actually a scientific speculation going on about the possibility of the occurrence of wat the movie is talking about.
