Nothing i say will deter him.  He watched Meet D like a few weeks back.  He still finds Eddie hilarious Angry

Oh he likes Seth Rogen marginally better than Will Ferrell but Eddie still remains his favorite.  I despise Seth Rogen.  Will, i can only stand in small doses and for some reason, i like him more in dramatic roles than comedy Undecided

So I finally finished Funny Games.
I have just one reaction that should capture my sentiments succinctly: Angry

No2A, you're not alone on this one & Spiked you were right on about the hair pulling. Firstly if it hadn't been recommended by our seasoned resident movie critic in Karma I woulda turned it off after the first 20mins - it started off so slow.

Now I get it, I really do get the message the writer/director were trying to pass across and the whole reality/fiction thing but still  Angry  what a weird movie, pointless violence, disjointed and abstract dialouge, no background no foundation it just appears and hangs, drawn out scenes (movie could really be 30mins long), and I must say a very weak pathetic excuse for a man/husband who's 'paralyzed' with a 'scratch on his knee' and can't defend his family from a teenage boy barely out of puberty armed with only a golf club - very unrealistic or very pathetic, take your pick. Badasses like Anton Chigurh leave a car wreck with a bone sticking out of his arm and he strolls away like its a paper cut.

Sorry Karma, this movie only left me annoyed.

LOL!
Just like Doubt, No Country For Old Men etc the director wanted to prove that in our seemingly perfect world, people carry out outrageously hideous crimes an go on scot free. It gets annoying when movies don't end the way you want them to huh? Thats why he added that bit in the end where they latched on to their next innocent victim without further ado.
They always start with eggs. . . . Cheesy

Johnny Depp to play Michael Jackson?

Quote
Johnny Depp and Jamie Foxx are rumoured to have been lined up to play Michael Jackson in film based on the singer's incredible life, Showbiz Spy report. Insiders say Hollywood film-makers are already planning a biopic of the late star and are planning to present a number of ideas to the Jackson family once they have overcome their grief. "There are a number of offers being drawn up with a variety of angles to tell Michael's incredible life story," a Hollywood insider claims. "Some involve using archive footage of Michael and his family and footage from his live shows. A couple would even have an actor cast to play Michael. Jamie Foxx has been mentioned, as has Johnny Depp. It all depends on how his family decide to honour him."

lmao Transformers no be pointless violence  Tongue

Grin  Grin at least it is cool violence

Quote
I think the movie is pretty much about how fascinated we are with violence nowadays. Remember the scene where it seems Noami gets revenge, notice how we the audience suddenly cheer when she gets the gun but then back to being disappointed when he rewinds that scene to be something else. It's like why do we pretend to be against violence but like it when its against someone we dont like. Also it's an answer to all the sadist movies we have now where we have people getting off on watching people get tortured, here the audience is literally the ones being tortured by watching these boys do these things and knowing its not gonna be a good outcome like we usually expect

haha It annoyed me too dear, human nature  Wink

*Nodding in agreement*
Yeah I guess I see the point of the writer/script  but still . . .  I just can't get over the weirdness of the movie. I wish they chose to make their point in some other way Undecided

- Funny enough voltron was also one of my favourite cartoons while i was still quite young in primary school and still watching NTA Ibadan ( Grin i don old small  Grin).
- Voltron is still the best japanese styled cartoon that i liked till date.
- Sometimes i suspect that transformers was created out of the original concept of the Voltron cartoon.
- I would also be pleased if someone can take up the challenge of Voltron cus that is one classic and badass cartoon series.
It may be a task too great to do justice to Voltron, but let us hold on to hope  Smiley

- your sure are one baddass person wen it comes to cartoons, even I was not so into cartoons to the extent of doing a presentation on it.

- yea 5 brothers would certainly leave its mark, I bet u can even give some guys a little beat down back in the days, after the numerous beat-downs u suffered from your brothers. I would certainly wagger that u are more of a tomboy than a barbie girl  Grin.

- U better don't speak too much or else as your brother (hiding behind a monicker) i would spill the beans of some of your secrets for the public to hear  Grin Grin Grin

- It would really be an accomplishment for someone to do a good job on the issue of voltron. However i don't think the capacity is there yet. Cus it would require resources as big as those applied for Star-Trek and Star Wars type of movies. Transformers is easier cus it focuses on specific locations using specific robots at a given time. However voltron involves simultaneous blending of robots and humans with a background of futuristic buildings (i.e. star trek and star wars like).

Depp and Foxx to play Jackson? The guy just died and the Hollywood movie machine's already licking its lips and counting its millions? Depp had better not take that role or else.

Still they're two different kinds of men. Mebbe Foxx will play black Indiana Jackson and Depp the WASP Jackson Grin. No time for movies. Not even a crummy once a week. Come high water I'm going to finish Fringe on DVD this week.
iice, you made me hunt out the two Lewis Caroll books on a wave of nostlagia and read em again. Of course you like the Off With His Head! Queen. Cheesy You're just hopeless. Still in the middle of  Thru the Looking Glass. If Megan Fox is in Transformers 2 I'm giving the thing a miss. Her endless pouting and Angelina-ing the first time made my foot itch to kick her over someone's fence. Can't sit thru it again.

Shocked You haven't heard of Avatar?  He already started to get the movie together before Avatar: last airbender got into production.
There's not much on the movie (it is closely guarded).  .  .no trailer has been released even though it's coming out in november.  But there is a lot of hype about the movie being his first movie since Titanic.  There are also alot of talk on the technology he used to shoot this movie.  There is also a game coming out based on the movie.

Quote
the film follows the story of a Marine (Sam Worthington) who is brought to the distant planet of Pandora, inhabited by a humanoid race known as the Na’vi. As he attempts to settle the planet as an alternative home for humanity, he gets in too deep with the Na’vi and ultimately crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival. And as the report explains, the film will have a lot of hard-science based elements as Cameron and team build up this richly bio-diverse planet. “What Weta and Cameron have done is create a complete alien ecosystem grounded in hard science,” Explains Market Saw’s source. “If Pandora were real, it would look and feel like what will be represented on screen.”

The movie also stars Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi
