iice, have you heard about Von Tier's The AntiChrist? Coming out in a few weeks. Sounds VERY disturbing. A couple loses their kid to a balcony accident and during the time of grieving, things start getting VERY WEIRD

Part of me wants to see it, part doesnt. Apparently alot of gore, mutilation and quite a number of rape scenes  Undecided. Rumor is that the rapes are real. The whole inclusion of rape and such is already turning me off. I guess since Dogville was his last hit, he's desperately looking for attention now.

People ARE praising it somewhat (supposedly brilliant story blah blah), while others are calling it torture porn.

Wouldnt surprise me if it's like the french movie, Irreversible which is only famous for the violent fire extinguisher scene and the 7 min rape scene (fake but very disturbing from what I hear cos it lingers) and Im so not into directors using things like this just to get attention and be all controversial. It's one thing if it goes with the plot but most times it doesnt.

lmao hope my rant didnt already turn you off

Will, Jaden Smith Start Shooting 'Karate Kid' Remake

Quote
Father and son Will and Jaden Smith will be working together on another film, with Will also playing a role behind the scenes.
According to the Associated Press, Will, along with China Film Group and Columbia Pictures, will be producing the remake of the 1984 hit 'The Karate Kid,' which kicked off filming in China over the weekend, a movie company publicist said Monday.
Jackie Chan will play the wise kung fu master, and the young disciple in 'Kung Fu Kid' will be played by Jaden.
In the original film, Pat Morita played the iconic building handyman Mr. Miyagi, who trains one of his young tenants, portrayed by Ralph Macchio, into an accomplished fighter.
The film, which also stars Taraji P. Henson, is being directed by Harald Zwart ('The Pink Panther 2') for a June 11, 2010 release. Shooting will last three months, and the film will be set in modern-day Beijing.
Will and Jaden played father and son in the hit film 'The Pursuit of Happyness.'

Watching Transformers 2. Why didn't one of those explosives blow this girl to smithreens for real? The explosives guy will wring his hands and say, chei yaa, she don die true true? The world will understand and forgive him. Enjoying the Fox-free zones in the movie though. Good action.

Reading, with almost mind-numbing pleasure, COSMOS by Carl Sagan. The book enlarges upon the 80s tv series. This guy single-handedly sparked my enduring interest in cosmology as a child. What a mind, what a scientist, what a man. Gifted writer too.
Managed to watch Obsessed, though I didn't finish. This girl from Heroes was in it, I forget her name. Pure comedy. Grin

I agree with iice, it's the script that was garbage, not the actors.I think Bale and Depp did well, The plot was just blah blah over the place. It was like a wannabe Jesse James but it never got to be as engaging as that movie.

I havent Tongue

Quote
Just as Stephen Chow's involvement in "Green Hornet" has officially come to an end, word comes in that two other actors are circling the project.

Along with confirming an earlier report that actress Cameron Diaz is eyeing a role in the Michel Gondry-directed "The Green Hornet," Variety adds that "Kick-Ass" actor Nicolas Cage is in early negotiations to join the cast of the Seth Rogen movie as well.

If the casting pans out, Cage will play a gangster villain opposite Rogen's masked crime fighter. The report also notes that Diaz's character is a reporter and love interest for the titular hero.

http://splashpage.mtv.com/2009/07/21/nicolas-cage-cameron-diaz-in-talks-to-join-the-green-hornet/

Consider it null and void for me.  Will not be touching this move.
