Yea, I saw that too. Looks like most black actresses are beefing Beyonce for "stealing" roles from them. hehe if na me sef I go vex too . Beyonce has music, fashion, endorsement deals - now she's taking away roles (albeit useless and weak and stupid roles) from the one-dimensional actresses who cannot venture into other careers. Spiked, -I think Gabrielle Union has be the one to take the 'worst' trophy. I do like Kerry Washington (mr/mrs smith, fantastic 4). And of course I love Mrs Huxtable, Phylicia Rashad. It's a crime she doesn't get major movie roles. Also I think Queen Latifah is a solid actress. As for others what about: Regina KingKimberly Elise (strong in John Q) Jennifer Husdon (need to see more movies from her) and I wish Beyonce could stop acting,stop singing . . and if possible stop performing,too much to ask I know. Doubt's the only movie I've seen her in.Talented, in a classic,serious acting chops sort of way.Why doesn't she do more?Bassett's been wonderful for years. She's the one who should have an Oscar, not Ms Make Me Feel Good, who couldn't even acknowledge her 'able' costar in her acceptance speech. unfortunate doesn't even begin to describe some Oscar results. No one pretends it reflects real merit most of the time.Once nominees are announced,many of the nominated go about 'wooing' voters, and if they succeed, they get the votes. Others don't do it, believing their work should be enough. When they called Halle's name I laughed my head off. What a joke.
