If number of goals = inspiration why do now say Zidane inspired france? How many goals did he get?

Is it old age or night blindness?

It's sheer stupidity - the only thing you can count on the scumtwats for.  Tongue

Ribery was inspirational for France - a breath of fresh air and a signalling of the new generation of footballers post- Zidane, even though he only scored 1 goal and made one assist.

The fact that general Gerard start for crap England denies him of his world class status?
Look some players can flourish as internationals while other at club come professional level.

The best player in a top footballing nation would be world class. e.g Brazil, italy, France, Germany, Holland, Argentina
The best player in an average nation is NOT necesarily world class. e.g England, Ukraine, Liberia, Kazakhstan

You are an idiot. . . . . . .Henry was inspirational for Arsenal in the way he put goals away.
Without his goals in 03/04 season, there wouldn't have been an unbeaten run/invincibles.

Ribery is a hogwash for France. Ok, lemme get this straight.
He was a breath of fresh air for France in 2006 but a breath of putrescent FART in Euro 2008.
How interesting??

Once again you display your egregious ignorance - he was INJURED in the 8th minute of France's 2-0 loss to Italy - astute commentators attributed the poor performance of France in that game and afterwards to Ribery's absence.

When they got drubbed 4-1 against Holland, was Ribery also injured?
What about the inspid performance against Romania?? Don't even answer this.
Cristalz just whispered to ma ears Ribery suffered epileptic bouts in that game.

Ribery ma foot. He contributed nuthing in that tournament.

So because France had a bad Euro 2008 tournament, Ribery is not worthy of being regarded as world class?

Is Henry suddenly not world class because of the Euro 2008 debacle?  Huh

You need to restart your meds, your case is getting worse by the minute.

Henry has showed time n time again he is worthy.
Arsenal is a clear example. . . . . .Compare Arsenal(Henry) to Ribery(Bayern Munich).
Then look at France 98, Confed Cup, Euro 2000, Euro 2004, World Cup 2006(against Brazil).
A disappointing tournament in Euro 2008 can never erase the ones i listed. . . . .every player is allowed a coupla tournaments as long as they have performed previously. . . . . . .Can u compare this record to Ribery's??

If this is what Doyin's seminal fluid does then you have to stop!! Tongue Tongue Tongue

The only thang Henry won at Arsenal was the league which Ribery did in Bayern!!!

Zidane had an injury blighted World cup in 2002 makes him not world class?

But Brown has never had a starting shirt at any National team tournament and he is world class.

England would rather play Gary neville, Danny Mills or even convert Owen Hargreaves to a right back than use Wes yet he is world class.

If you don't make heaven don't be surprised because this statement just disqualified you Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

Denmark did not qualify for USA 94 and they were the current European Champions prior the the world cup tourney.
By your faggotish analysis, Peter Schmeichel and the Laudrup brothers are not world class because they missed a major tournament.

But wait o o o o. Abi, i dey craze? (as my aboki use to say in Nigeria). . Wes Brown, world class?  Huh For where?

Even as a Manc, am shuddering and whimpering @ the responses am seeing here!  Grin

Is this not the same Brown that SAF was ready to toss out last season?

You only fly and meet world class players at their resort, a la C.Ronaldo, You fly to the Airport to serve as a coincerge/escort to World class players a la Berbatov!

Its funny that these same Brown is the same guy most Mancs here wanted SAF to dispose because they felt "United had Oshea who could play RB" and now Y'all are saying he's one of the best in that position and a everescent and indispensable player!. . .Did you fellow United guys type in Swahili or does my comprehension skills need a total overhaul?

Even though Me, Kit and Debosky were only the ones who suppourted Wes Browns demand for pay increase because he paid his dues to United , I still wouldn't label Wes a worldclass!.

Funny enough, the same folks who said Wes should not be given a pay hike and who called for his outsing then are the same folks calling Wes a worldclass and the best right back in England!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

So because Wes plays in a world class club, does that make him worldclass? Why don't Y'all say the Possebons and Diaby's of this world are worldclass?

Maybe DayoKanu has to pull up a wikipedia meaning for worldclass, then my fellows here can understand the definition of worldclass!

I wanted Wes Brown out when he was stalling his deal because he was trying to hold SAF to ransom.
A player should think about the team FIRST especially when Gazza was crocked for the whole season. . . .
Apart from that little drama, Wes Brown hasn't put a foot wrong for Man Utd. . . .

He has been commited and u don't earn the number one right back in Man Utd for the fun of it.
If u consider United's mean defence in the Premiership and the Champions League, u would admit every player in that defence unit are world class.
How is Philip Lahm or Bosingwa better than Brown. . . . .He was rusty when he started deputising for Neville but after Janaury, Wes was solid.

Though I dont like to response to any of your post but look at this one. Does it make sense to say because England did not qualify for world cup was because they never had world class players?  Look at Champions league for examples 4 premiership leagues in the semis and the teams are dominated by english.  Honestly you need to go for a break.

this is another typical untidy conclusion from someone who shoulda known better
my advice again is fellas should desist from posting if they aint gonna read the genesis of all arguements

A first class player is not necessarily a highly rated player. Some players are silent achievers and what they do on the field will go unnoticed because of where they play, who they are and the circumstances surounding their stay in such clubs. There are a lot of unsong heros in the world football fraternity and these set of players may appear "not world class"

If a world class player is a player that gets the media attention, command high wage weekly etc and not someone who has achieved as a footballer starting as a grassroot, then some brains need to be checked!!
a player should be judged by achievements be it collectively or individually not by the aesthetics that surround what the guy does on field.

again, a world class player is a first team or an integral player in a first rated club or a first rate country. If this definition isnt good, then none can be objective and good.
Peeps should desist from passing rubbish comments that has got no basis in footie
imagine flying to meet at the airport is all u could say Huh Huh Huh
some things are wrong

debosky
of course Ribery and Brown are not in the same level. I only said that to get at Dayo for saying RIO isnt a world class player

and then i noticed something here
RIO is a world class player and Dayo says hes not
both u n Mr flying to meet player at the airport didnt see holes in that, u only saw the part where WES was called a first class player. is that deliberate or u guys are blind?

I know Dayo too well to know most of the things he says here are just to rile UTD and Arsenal peeps.
reasons why i brought the Ribery thingy!!

Ignore Dayokanu. He is jealous of the European double winners.

Back to life. . . . . .
It seems Real Madrid is back to flirt with Carlos Tevez(El Apache).
Ruud Van Nistelrooy is out for the season for Madrid and they need a striker in january to replace Ruud bwoy!!!
I expect Ferguson to make Tevez permanent before we fly out to Japan. KJ wants £20 million.
