Because those things are not natural. Like you said they are there to enhance the non artificial ones which are the best things in life.

For the fact they are there to enhace the natural things that are free. They are secondary to them and that is why they are the better things in life while those natural stuff are the best, so in that case best things in life are free.

God is the All-Wise God.

If air was a commercial entity that could be bought and sold with money, there will be no Nigerian alive.
Thats the truth.

Yeah, but apart from the air we breathe,what else is free? We buy water which we can't do without. We buy food- that isn't free either. There's no free shelter, clothings are expensive. So?

@maureen,
                 Who told you water is not free? If you take it that way then air is not free because people still buy it yes they buy oxygen but it is free. So girl you go dig a well or you fetch somewater. Those in the village do they buy water too? NO. Shelter is also free when you stay in your compound or build your own. It is not free when you decide to live in someone else's.How do you want the person to eat? Clothing is not a natural thing it is being made and therefore it shouldn't be free so that the people  that make it should eat.

If best things in life are free?
How come my Step-Uncle goes to Stripper Club to pay for Sex when he is married  Huh
Someone once told me sex is not free, even though it's nature's gift
You still have to pay it somehow. Embarrassed
