Cheating someone you love is not possible.
What is love? If you really love someone you will not do anything that will hurt the person. The problem we have is that people use to take their emotion and feeling as love. True love is a commitment. A commtiment not to cheat your spouse. A commitment to have a feeling of your spouse. A commitment to always be there for your spouse. A commitment to always cherish your spouse.
You cheat when the commitment are no more there. Check this.
A man got married and the wife naggs ( don't ask me why) after seven year, the guy got himself another girl to cool off.
The commitment is now dead. so what happen, is that the guy does not care any more. No more commitment. The spouse feeling is no more an issue.

My people SEX and LOVE are two different things for men. We can sleep with someone we don't love and love someone without sleeping with them. So the answer to your question is yes.
I have this colleague who recently got married he promised never to sleep with the babe until they got married as he was badly in love with her but he was busy sowing his wild oates all over town prior to the wedding. Now he is married and sticks to his wife alone.

I think the question should apply to both men and women because cheating occurs among both groups of people. To answer the question, I'll say "no". What it all comes down to is discipline. Real love requires (self) discipline and self control.
Nobody has a monopoly on temptation because we all get tempted every now and then. What matters is how we handle those temptations. In order to prevent hurting someone we care about, we learn to keep those temptations in check. When you really care about someone and you respect them enough to conclude that you "love" them, I think you will work hard to prevent them from losing their trust in you, or make them question or abandone their relationship with you, which can happen as a result of cheating.
