Uba Bank Rejected Nigeria National Identity Card

My dear nairalander I went to UBA Plc yesterday to cash cheque to my greatest
surprise that they refused to accept national identity card that I should go get my company's identity card before they will pay me. Now, my question is: does UBA Plc control or greater than Nigeria or can overriding Nigeria constitution on National Identification by rejecting Nigeria National Identity card. Please your view.

this a very stupid thing to do y should a bank reject NID it is that the bank reject the card or the very staff that atten to u

because some are jst IT student while some na first timer

or d staff want to do efizy for u

some time when i show the police my own NID they reject and say it is not valid i still wonder if they are nigerian police or FBI
