Different Types Of Psp?

I had a black PSP almost 2 years ago, it's analog controls itself so a girlfriend gave me one for free, but i noticed that apart from the difference in colour (grey), there are also difference in some parts of it, like the UMD slot and the Memory card slot, the new is lighter in weight than the former,also the battery seems flater than the one i used before. Is there differences?
