CROSS River State high court, sitting in Calabar has restrained Kora Entertainment Southern Africa Limited from hosting the Kora Award 2008 in Lagos.
Kora Entertainment had initially entered into an agreement with the Cross River State Bureau of Tourism and the Cross River State Government to host the 2008 Kora Awards in Calabar, but later rescinded its decision and was planning to take the awards event to Lagos , irrespective of its initial plan to host same awards in Calabar
What Kora is trying to do is very wrong. When reps of the CRS tourism bureau sold the idea to them, didn't they know about Lagos? The problem we have is that of greed. Wanting to reap where we did not sow. Lagos State should look for its own events to bring into the country, not hijack the fruits of another's labour.
They took the Invitational Soccer Fiesta to Abuja and we kept quiet, Now Kora Awards! We can't let them get away with it this time!!!
