Priscilla, not to be pedantic but I did not notice JT clear a ball off the line during the world Cup, having said that you can't judge who is a better defender by what comes naturally to every player, simply not to concede a goal.
I agree with Hucs definition of "being natural and being consistent" ;It fits very well with the respective players.

@Akolawole the allegations against Rio were proved 2 hold no water  the guy claimed he forgot because of "domestic issues"  even then he still took the urine test and it was Negative the only thing the man is guilty of is "Forgetfulness" and that trait sometimes creeps into his game thereby losing concentration at vital moments  after all said and done,with the playing field levelled Ferdinand has a better all-round game than Terry! |

A lot of football fans still don't know what happened with Ferdinand's drug case.
They still believe he was banned for taking drugs.
David Dein was the man alleged to have blown the case out of proportion and jobless Sepp Blatter stepped into the matter.
Rio was punished unjustly but he has gotten over everything now.
He is a tower at the back and Rio simply rocks.

Rio is the better of the 2.
Terry is a very good premiership player, but Rio is close to being world class, if he puts his mind to it.

in defense as compared to Rio. Terry beats fedinand by far.
