lots and lots of coffee to drink, alabunkun powder to  suck on,Rub ointment under your eyelids
and soaking your feet in ice cold water as u burn the midnight oil should do the trick  Grin Grin

I think the best is to start reading from the very first day lectures begin.At least,daily reviews(say 1hr daily) of your lectures will familiarise you with the materials and reviews when it's exam wouldn't be hectic.In this case,the issue of sleeping wouldn't really be a problem.It's also very important not to miss lectures.

try to sleep well before going to class and when you get to class u are still dosing, stand while you read or or assume inconvinient position. OR mark out what u must read before a particular time and be filled with the passion to get it done bearing in mind that you must get the best of understanding above any other reader. Then read with the mind that you are going to lecture the topic in the next few hours, u could really do find someone who needs your help or one who you can discuss with.

When you say sleep, i hope itz sleep in class and not sleep at night because reading at night is not advisable.
no matter the exam i didn't fancy reading at night.

take enough rest , drink more water, never take too much food b4 reading or going 2 class ,that is my tip,and it work 4 me ,if you don't mind you can try that good luck
