At least all those people that were evicted from UK or were refused visa now have a place to unleash their anger. There is no City in the world that does not have slums. New York, Berlin, Washington all have slums. Does that make them lower than naija in terms of development? No way! Slum has levels. Would you comapare the slums in London to those in Aba or Lagos? No way! At least the slums in London have regular power and water supply. The tramp in London can still go every weekend to collect free money (dole). Ask me what the naija govt does with all the oil money?

I wonder why people are getting so defensive about these postings. when nasty pictures of naija are posted in western media do they also tell u that they have nasty places in their country ? nobody is comparing dude , heck u can not even compare lagos to kano  or enugu because the culture is different . just luk at d pictures and enjoy (or cry  ) . if london appeals to u because of power supply which i confess is rather nice , (shame foreigners including british stole the money that we were going to use for our own power supply) just try not paying your bill or recharging your meter and u see how quickly they cut u off whether slum or castle . and if your there because of  dole goodluck to u . point is there thousands of naija in uk who are just existing . sooner or later the wise will realize that they need to do something with their live rather than just existing and planning to qualify for dole . the answer is not to return to naija there is truly nothing for u in naija (at least not for cleaners and shop security people) i know it could be a hopeless situation between devil and deep blue sea very sad. this article made me think at least - sometimes the thing wey we dey find go sokoto dey for sokoto truser pocket.

This guy is the usual suffering and smiling Nigerian. He keeps finding excuses for every time he has been failed by his government. He has worked hard all his life and is nearing 57 years old. He is stretched to the limits by rulers who don't give a crap. He sees his sweat being stolen by politicians everyday. He continues to hope Babangida will come back to power and unleash another chop I chop system of government. Yes the average Britico is lazy and fat but his government takes care of him (including some lazy Nigerians too who have discovered giro collection as an occupation)
For those who keep insinuating that ALL Nigerians are suffering in yankee. Surprise! Only those Nigerians desperate enough to move abroad without the right papers are roasting here. A lot of Nigerians are well educated professionals and work and earn highly. Yes, all fingers are not equal and some blokes have found themselves in menial jobs but they still make it if they work hard.

How can you talk about ugly slums in UK when your own house is a gutter? Are you talking of poland, Germany etc, Is that your country?  Are you not ashamed you have nowhere in your own country to mention in order to defend yourself? don't mention Poland. Leave Polish people to defend themselves. Defend yourself with Lagos, Aba, PHC etc.

If you are really residing in the UK and you have never had one day or one moment when you sighed in your heart and said "Chei, why can't naija be like UK", then you are lying because that is the first reaction of any new comer to this land. The system is like heaven compared to what we know in naija. Call a spade a spade. I love naija but country pass country and you cannot compare naija (the way it is now) to UK.

This is another typical Nigerian. He blames everyone else but himself for his woes. Wake up! The Brits left in 1960. From then on, all the stealing has been by either army generals or politicians in flowing robes. And if you talk about foreign pressure, I will tell you it happens only to the defenseless or those countries who have to depend on others to survive (Nigeria does not belong there. We are supposed to have other depend on us for resources)
