in the toilets?  Grin

those cleaning ladies were evil. they hate it when we use the toilets because they know they have to clean it. when i got to secondary school, WE had to clean them.

clubs were fun though. that's where the teachers became nice and got us stuff.

Adiboloja, coconut candies, trash like that.

hahaha, kind of funny! this is a really memory lane thread

For me, i still remember the ''good morning ma, good morning sir, good morning friends"!!
It's really amuses me whenever i remember that because it's just the teacher who came in but we got to say all of the long greetings before sitting down! and for me, going to a Army primary school and secondary school is the worst kind of school to attend. some or our teachers are solders and they will make you clear grass for just a flimsy mistake, and the civilian teachers, oh my God! they will say ''awon omo soja yi'' before adding curses to our mothers, fathers etc, lol
but who cares? stubborness was the thing back then, and to some students, they waylay teachers who pass through the barracks to their home, beat them, lol,  Smiley

but it was really really fun looking back to it all now,

kosolokoloko song who remember that?

i remember using all my money to buy Bazooka Joe gum and lunch time no food lol, the aroma of iyalonje food who will forget that?  Grin

@dollypee

I remember Kitto!! Ohh lord have mercy. I wore it for only one term in J.SS2 (if I'm right). I didn't like that shoe. It was just too, somehow for me. So many kids were wearing it, so me n my sister (cousin), decided to show them we can wear cute brown sandals that aren't Kitto!

When i got to S.S1 tho. My school changed the freaking rule. EVERYBODY wear white canvas! It was fun tho. because u know,  u looking all cute with your canvas, blue beret, white shirt, white socks, blue skirt, And a blue Pull over. Yeah it was HOT! Wink

I attended a catholic primary school so most of the time time they like to discipline the pupils. When greeting the teachers, we use their names as in good morning Mrs. Okobi she was the headmistress then. The supervisors are usually reverend sisters. Their was this particular one we had that if we see her as we are making noise in the class, the whole class will be as silent as a grave and not only her, the headmistress also. Then we were told not to buy anything outside and if you are caught you will be in real trouble. So we buy thing s when there are no pupils around. Also I can remember that every morning they inspect the pupils in order to bring out the dirty ones and those not putting on white socks and a brown sandal.

@luvly moi
I attended private primary school {Command primary school}, n we were not spoilt at all.

I love this thread,  who remember when dey get their report card.   sumtin really funny when i got my report card in primary4.
I was in primary 4 with my family friends n i did not want her to do better than me but every one tot she was more clever.
When d third term result came, I took 4th n her position was 7th.
I started crying because i tot she beat me. She was telling everyone that she beat me with 3. Silly me, i did not knw that i beat her . Till i told my mum n she explained it to me. n i tot i was even good at maths then.

anyone got got funny stories about report card?

Oh yeah!
I always loved getting ma report
card because' I was ALWAYS either 1st
postion or 2nd postion. There was this girl,
it was almost as if we used to compete.
When I came 1st, she came 2nd and
wheneva she came 1st, I came 2nd.
It continued like that till I wrote ma common
entrance and left. I'm glad ma last postion
before I left was 1st!  Grin Grin Grin

I will not even lie about report card.

From primary school i was always happy to get my report card. J.SS1 And J.S.S2. I didn't EVEN want to see the report card. Infact i never made the first 15. God help me, i was smart but PLAYFUL! After J.S.S2 sha, i started making ammends. And u know, started showing my being smart in my results.

i remember J.S.S2 second term, when i was tempted to change all my c4's to A1. Oh lord have mercy. C4 and the stupid p8's i made. I got home n slept for a whole God know probably 12 hours. They all knew why i was sleeping like  a big fat pig. lol,

I had FAILED! FAIL FAIL. ha, it wasn't funny. But no one beat me. I knew they would talk, and i was ready for it. lol.

Then teachers in school would be like "yetunde we know u can do beter, kini kan kini kan, something something". ALl i did was say okay, and still made noise in class. I guess as they said then, i was immature. I was 10 in J.S.S.2. Ohh those days now.

But i always got serious in third terms, because i WANTED to see "promoted" on my report card. J.S.S 1's first n second term, ohh lord have mercy. Third term, I cleared it. Just let me see PROMOTED i don't care about anything. Same happened in J.S.S2. Third term, i did good. When i got to J.S.S 3, i became serious, started doing debates and quizzes and going to Inter-school Quizzes.

Did u guys do the peak milk essay writing? I did that in J.S.S 3. Got soo many stuffs from Peak milk company. From their milks to the books to the pen, to the calendar. Yeah Yetunde IS a smart kid!! I Got out of that whole she's immature shell.  Wink
