Thats not how to open a web page. What software are you using to design your pages? All you need to do is to preview the page in a browser, there should be a function like that on the software you are using to design your web page. Alternatively, if you have IIS set up on your computer, all you need to do is to make sure you save the web page under the root folder of IIS - vis, c:\inetpub\wwwroot\default.html - then open your browser window and type http://localhost/default.html or simply http://localhost/

Alternatively - get a webhosting company, ftp your pages to their server and then you can view your pages on the internet.

alabiyemmy

I think bimbor is learning is from the reduments/ basics which is the best way to learn HTML. Knowing basics helps alot before using software.

bimbor

You save with  ".html" e.g index.html . Navigate to the folder where you saved the file, double click on it and you will see your first webpage.

Asssume you save "index.html " on the desktop, go to the desktop and double click index.html

With this you should be able to move on.

@diddy
Check the image path if the format is jpg or gif. You must have omitted something. If it isnt, convert to jpg which is the standard format for web images.

@Chuka
What kind of site do you want?

Does anyone have an actionScript that i can apply to my banner to give more feel.

Use macromedia flash. It will give it the life you want.

@All interested in learning HTML
I will advise you learn HTML and move to XML-Extensible Markup Language. HTML is kind of outdated and will soon be kicked out completely because of the need for platform independency.
