1st october 1960

The wailings of a mother in labour, silence the cry of a baby,  silence again, cryin but more louder and intense BEHOLD a child is born, a child of promise, a child of destiny, a child of hope, a child of prosperity, a child of riches. But alas all these still hangs in the balance, in the atmosphere of no clearity and uncertainty, in the minds of those who dream and hope for a better tomorrow believed to come.48 years later, and we are still waiting for that tomorrow.where do we go from here?.Where are our compatriots who hv been called to serve and obey Where is he? where is she? wher is good governance? good leadership,  wher is good service? Angry I speak with the annoyance of a youth born into a country wher justice is hated and abused and corruption is loved by all n sundry.where do we go from here Huh society has failed us, our leaders hv failed us, and we hv failed ourselves, we suffer in the midst of plenty. We are like the isrealites in the wilderness but in our  own promised land, a land flowin with milk and honey. We live in a country with no true love or care.A country wher its leaders are so much blinded with greed and corruption.people who do not care about the shame that comes with it.They will not go unpunished.Wher is the moses of our time wher,  Sad wher is he that can show us the way out of this dark tunnel to the bright light of happiness and true freedom. For hw long will the masses of this country suffer and smile for hw long will political and social unrest take its toll. For hw long will crime and the increasing horror in unemployment emerge. For hw long will bribery and corruption rear its ugly head. For hw long  will the educational system remain paralyzed and on the verge of breakdown Angry Lips sealed.for hw long will these greedy selfish corrrupt and shameless individuals who rule over us continue to pocket our funds and embezzle our money, For hw long will my people continue to suffer. Cry where do we go from here? Huh
We claim to b the 6th oil producing country in the world but fuel crisis  still remains the order of the day.We send out soldiers to fight in war-stricken countries n areas and yet we can't take authority of ongoing disturbances MEND in the Niger Delta.
We make millions daily from our oil revenues ignoring other resources yet our people suffer.Wher is the incorruptible judge, a person of a just mind and heart without moral decadence, a person with brilliant ideas to move the progress of this country forward, to make the future of this country bright and not bleak.Wher is he? wher is she? Lips sealed   wher are they? Are we to fold our arms and wait do we still hv faith? are we to fantasize over a change that may never com into existence? where do we go from here?   i wish to bore you no further with my complaints or murmurings.i ll be patient, i must be strong, you must be strong, we must be strong  Smiley. A great change will surely come.God is watching.God will help us God will deliver us believe, just believe Wink
Soon the promises is will be fulfilled , the sounds of mourning  of tears of sorrow will  will turn to laughter and hapiness and rejoicing Cheesy.just believe. The great child of promise NIGERIA   Grin  GOD INDEED WILL SAVE US.GOD INDEED WILL HEAL OUR LAND. I WILL HV FAITH AND BELIEVE IN THE GREAT CHANGE THAT WILL COME.  Cool
