Continental African Women, Are They Just Stupid Or What?

All the things that comes out of the mouth of our women sounds so IDIOTIC, I 've got a question for all you AFRICAN WOMEN, do you think you look cool by sounding so stupid?, only a very very few women ever make any sense in these Nairaland, one disease that is very common with African Women is self hatred, if you so much hate yourselves, how do you expect people to have any respect for you, can somebody tell me what's is going on.

 My brother It's not in my place to point fingers, check out Chinani's and Mamaput's posts I have a lot of respect for them.

          If you really want to get what I mean you will have to go through most of the threads on Nairaland to understand what am saying, is like there brain mostly operate under the motto, ''the whiter the better'' and It reflects in the way they construct there post and in the kind of threads they create in these forum, there are very very intelligent African women here in these forum, no mistake should be made about that, for example people like: Babyosisi, Drusilla, Chinani etc etc, but most of our women tends to exhibit low self esteem and it affects there ability to make sense in some sensitive topics, for example how can somebody with zero self esteem ever make sense in a topic that has to do with race.
           

          If the skin bleaching and hair straightening is worn strictly as a fashion, no stress about that, afterall there are people that sun tan, but anything that is to the extreme tends to look kind of Idiotic, do you know that recently most of our African women on these forum hard the photograph of white women on there profile, until a guy called ''superman'' pointed out the issue and believe me there was a lot of aggravation about that.

          Are you surprised that JAY Z left somebody like BEOUNCE for a white woman, look at it from this point of view, you are dating a Black woman that Chanel's all here energy in looking white, you could as well go for a real white woman instead of dating a counterfeit or wannabe white, our women should learn to be themselves.

Thank you Bro, but the point is that somebody has to say it no matter how difficult it is, and that person happens to be me, I just hope that some of our women would see it more from the positive side and try to be better, infact I can only just hope.

Ninetofive, I think you might have been letting your emotions get the better of you when you titled and started this thread. Attacking/insulting people is generally not a good way to get your message across nor does it get them to understand what you're trying to say. Some of what you're talking about have been discussed sometime or the other by some of these so-called "Stupid" women. For example in this thread:

Drusilla whatever negative things you might say or feel about Seun, you cannot accuse him of banning people for losing their temper once in a while.  Seun tolerates a heck lot more free speech here than I have EVER seen in ANY discussion forum, and to me that mitigates any unpopular opinions he may air.

The Nigeria World forum is a classic example of a forum run by supremely pompous little-minded men who take offense at just about anything, and who absolutely forbid any attempt at humor in a post.  Despite that forum being years older than this one, there are very few people who have managed to continue posting there due to the comical level of Taliban-style censorship imposed by the administrators of that forum.  I got banned from the Nigeria World forum simply for stating that I would never consider dying for any country, and even after a change of IP addresses, email accounts and passwords, my new application to join with a different name was blocked because those dour, self-absorbed gentlemen were evidently tracking GPS coordinates as well, all in their obsessive desire to make theirs the ONLY opinions heard in their stern little world.

Oga Seun I raise a toast to you for your demonstrated belief in free speech.  Long live Niairaland and its creator.  And Drusilla please continue to write in,  for your contributions have been some of the most thought-provoking I have read here. Your silence in further discussion would be our loss. 

Drusilla, one thing you don't understand is that Nigerians are highly ambitious people. We are mainly focused on our goals and where these goals can take us rather than the colour of our skin unlike you. That's why it seems as though we are least bothered/affected by race issues. I found this brilliant post which speaks my mind, it's from another site.

Ma, you are mixing things up. What's happening to Nigerian name is one issue. Your views about skin colour/whites is another one (which is much more important here).

From my post, it's obvious what I was actually hammering on and I didn't expect your friend's issue to become the topic whereas the main crux of the matter is carefully shoved aside. I see you as someone with great potential. Don't let the issue of colour hold you down.

We are all here for different reasons.
some to have fun
some to learn.
Politics (i only come here by mistake)

You know what they say about a fool at 40.
so for me that is one of the good things about being young-.
BUT i would use the word carefree and not stupid.  Naive is also a better word to use.
But do not compare people with luggage to people without. By luggage i mean responsibilities.
I mean people that still live at home with mum and dad.

Once again 9 to 5  a woman wants to be beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A black way of living has to do with the mindset of the person.

For instance a person just told me that it is white to live in this modern world and it is Black to live in huts and live like Kunta Kinte.

That is of course a white mindset.

One where you elevate whites as being these wonderful technologically superior people and blacks as being buffoons who run around in weave skirts living outside or in dirt houses.

Obviously in their mind black people are just little people who live in huts. 

Of course no African American can relate to that idea -- that living in a hut is a black way of life, since the only Black people they know live in houses and apartments and that is the way it has been for them for centuries.

So where ever you got that idea from, it was not from an African American trying to tell you about the 'Black way of life'.
