Why should we be restricted to these set of names, I have a better choice that is not on your list.
Dr. Jerry Gana

i dont see no PAT UTOMI on the list here. that excuse of yours is invalid cos neither u nor "those people" are in a position to judge, that's left to nigerians to decide. the man declared his intention to run on BEN TV (london) last monday, where he elaborated his long-term plans for the economy. come 2 think of it, if someone as dumb as obasanjo can become the president, methinks PAT UTOMI makes more sense. dont u think so? lets remember the future of this country - or rather ours and the coming generation's is at stake here.

EVERY state governor (excluding Ekiti, Bayelsa, Oyo, Plateau, Anambra and maybe a few others i can't remember for now) is on the presidential track to get to the finish point and stand as Nigeria's #1 citizen. just this morning on Rythm 93.7 FM, it was reported that Zamfara state governor has said nothing will stop his presidential aspiration come 2007. now, i sat back to think of what Nigeria would be if that man found his way to Aso Rock as the leader in 2007. an islamic state? presently, INEC just registered 3 new parties and that has made the total number of political parties in the country more than 40. is this so in other countries? for now, i have no person to give the torch to as the torch-bearer by next year. not even my name-sake because every lizard lies flat on the ground, but you do not know the one with a belly-ache. finally, i will always say that in Nigeria, your vote does NOT count!!!

thank you very much, Jalal. i don't want to vote for anybody but i want to watch the polls closely until its closing date.
@Jafar
please put something like "none of the above" or "i don't vote" option so that those of us nigerians that just take whatever comes our way in 2007 can still have our say.

The poll as it stands forces you to make a choice. That's what an election is about, afterall.
If you want to suggest an additional candidate, please feel free. But make a choice, please!

My personal choice would be Pat Utomi, but seeing that (at least for now) he lacks the necessary clout to get on the ticket of one of the major parties
I would choose Donald Duke, but also he has been too low key and doesn't seem intent on running
If those two fail I would have no option but to choose Dr. Buba Marwa

Pat Utomi is my candidate, why, hes a learnered, Professor, has wider knowledge of economic issues and how to solve them, knows nigerian problems, from south-south I think he is a respectable man and the only choice of nigerian youths. He is a king and until a king rules the nation, nigeria will continue having problems. We must stop mediocres from destroying our future. UTOMI I OWE U A VOTE. If Utomi no gree, then I love okorocha to be there, he loves common man, poor and the needy.
Please, delete IBB, Atiku, Buhari, and Marwa, they have nothin to offer nigerians.
They are THIEVES! We dont need them.

Based on what I saw on that list, I'd rather Okonjo, but it won't happen. I don't think the conservativeness of Naija would allow for a female president just yet. . .

I thank you all for your diference suggestions, for my won view, the name of my second choice is not included which is Obong Attah for 2007.
The only man that will fetch out every hidden and tormented soles to life clarification.
If not Attah, i can consider Duke!!

Who cares, certainly not me, they will all look innocent at the beginning, let them get voted in and set eyes on the money and other amenities and they will forget why they are in that position.
