Hello my Friend,
I am a marketer in a fast growing Internet Service Provider, and can advice you only on the field i know well. 5 million is enough to make you have an ISP of your own and provide service for others where there is poor or no service. Eket is one, Shagamu is another and Ogun state too. There are many other places here in Lagos too. In just a few months you will be smiling.

The CRUX in internet is a FAST LINK that is ALWAYS ON.  Well if you are interested, i will tell you where and how to set it up, and manage it with ease. this is my contact;
Cheers.

i think rather than risking all u have on a business u know nothing about, its a good idea to invest it in stocks. just get a reliable stockbroker who'll give u strategic advice on which company to buy, and when to buy & sell. u can make a lot of money from it.

for instance union bank shares was N20 when they sold in january. was N28.50 as @ last Thursday. that's some 40% in 6 months without lifting a hand. could even be higher. doubles sometimes within a relatively short period. and stockbrokers dont charge that much. u'll have your time for your regular job if u have one. the risk is also relatively low provided u have a good stockbroker. infact its almost impossible to lose any % of your initial investment. and that's pretty cool. am talking from experience.

u culd also break it down by investing some of it in stocks and then the other in some business u feel the risk's not too high. that's if u're really keen on running some business.

my guy dont be deceived, sit down and really think, 5million may not be big as big as u think although i hear some guys go to malaysia and dubai to buy handset and sell in ninja but u have to research about it very well.
richy u say u r into isp well if imight ask u to be an isp provider how much will your vsat equipment cost, with your bandwidth subscription for a year assume your getting 1mb bandwidth, most probably your putting your hopes on nitel sat3 which we know come up in 2 days and dies in 4 days, these will cost u btw 1.5 to 2.5 then tell me how much is remaining? thenu have to pay staff like richy to go round town beggine already folding cafes to come buy your bandwidth, cos u know the telephone companies are already dealing with isp's.
mind u , u have not bought any router yet. so dedicate 1M to buy 2- 2600xm routers to manage with so u can configure frame relay if u dont have money to buy bandwidth manager. have u bought your 5 - 10 kva gen that should go for another 1 million now tell me do u still have money?
think very well and isp is not the way to go although i am into telecoms i dont advice it
take care

@kAECY5

True talk man.

ISP's are very expensive and the guy have givena detailed info on the initial set up cost.

@ITSHARP
You can invest your 5 million, in stocks, bonds etc. that wld give you some cool cash in return. or you can also look for a good business to invest in, but be rest asured that you shld not expect a dividend in the next 1-2yrs and be ready for a pure hardwork.
Good luck
