I guess by now you should have taken your decision from the numerous posts above, on the issue you raised.
The thing is this "it is not compulsory to clap after a ministration" neither is it mandatory to shout or blow whistles when impressed or touched by an activity/prophetic declaration in church. My advice is simply "be yourself" and in fact it is the best position to assume because when you are in church, you are in God's Temple and pretense/hypocrisy is detestable by God.

Take it easy sha; there are a lot of people who feel the way you do but are too scared to speak up.  A lot of things in "Churchianity" don't seem to add up and since we mistake it for Christianity we end up with a misplaced aggression. Read your bible and since your online, you can check out some cool christian sites and on sunday when you go to church just relax and be yourself.

A well known Pastor one said 'the more you clap, the bigger your testimonies' like it's some mathematical equation or sumn

It's so funny, why does sumone have to clap cause a Pastor comes to the pulpit??

I guess since you are all focusing on clapping as separate from praising God, then its worth saying so. The issue here is do you really want to praise God and do you see any point in praising or worshipping him. Do you derive any personal benefit and pleasure from Christianity or do you consider it "the opium of the depressed". Do you just feel its a state or phase of our evolution or a necessary part of your life?

Please find answers to those before criticizing those pastors. they do what they know best. Its simple. When i am tired in church, I sit down. I praise God because I want to not because I have to. I attend church because I want to not because I have to. I have been away from my parents for long periods of time since I hit 17 and have had the time to try going and not going.

While I appreciate the hypocrisy in some christians, I would advice donjohano not to jeopardise his eternity by making jokes that seem harmless. speaking in tongues is not compulsory, I don't. It will come only as a free gift of the Holy Spirit.


Its all about praise idiot. You might as well tell us singing has nothing to do with worship. Its just a form of worship. We are africans and our music mainly relies on percussion. Clapping during worship predates our acceptance of christianity. its a cultural thing but still you praise God , the way you know how.

You seem to be mentally asleep and i feel so sorry for you 'cos you don't understand who you are and the stuff you are made up of and funny enough you have deliberately handed yourself to substandard,lesser human beings than you mentally and that is the reason why you are not happy.

In a nut shell,you need to discover yourself first.That is the beginning of true happiness and i tell you  then you will be responsible for your decisions whether to clap or not.

Finally your existence has got nothing to do with ANYBODY except yourself.Stop bugging your mind with uncertainties and an invincible being as you are made to believe who is responsible for your existence.

The invincible you don't see and will never see,feel,hear,touch,percieve,smell because it doesn't exist.If it exist then you should be able to interact with it with your inbuilt abilities as a human.

You are what you are and nothing can change it except you.
