Once upon a time a former Nigerian Captain turned coach (Stephen Keshi) was sacked by NFA for non performance and lack of technical knowledge. The same coach was employed by a neighbouring small country (Togo) to coach its lowly rated inexperience team. Today the Togolese team is on the verge of qualifying for a world cup appearance, and its chances is even better than that of Nigeria. Obviously, Keshi does not lack the technical ability we're told he lacked. l wonder if we have not thrown away our Jewels to the sea? If we fail to qualify, shouldn't some heads in NFA roll?

An interesting turn of event, I must say. Imagine small Togo qualifying for the world cup and probably Angola ( I know Nigerians would want my head for this), whereas Nigeria is fasting and praying to qualify . The NFA and their many issues, playing politics in football administration and always looking for a sacrificial lamb to cover up their many incompetencies. Well too bad that Keshi is no longer on our side, but then again, a prophet is not recognised in his own country. I am happy for Stephen Keshi, all the best man.

I'm glad to see him gaining the experience (and respect) he deserves...as far as I'm concerned it can only be good for Nigerian football (in the future).

Am glad Togo qualified, but let's all know that a coach may be technically sound and still go ahead to lose matches if the players are not committed.
Chukwu was there and we were winning with just 1goal or 2 at most. Eguavoen came in it suddenly was 5 1, 5 2, 6nil, yet with the same set of players o. Think about it
Keshi is lucky to have green horns who were ready to spill blood, when they suddenly realised that they can qualify for the world cup, immediately after defeating Senegal.
Whether Keshi is sound or not upcoming events will prove this. Afterall Luis Van Gaal was a success with Ajax, but a big flop with Barca
