This year's edition sucks, especially with those girls in tattoos and studs. I can't stand them.

They really seem talented to me, I only have problems with the high level of indecent dressing in the house, actually watched one wearing only a bra yesterday.

true talk cleanman, cud you y'all believe I was at d audition giving all of my support 2 a friend, and yet with all d remarkable skills he potrayed(true talk), he still didnt make it. not dat I'm tryin 2 diss dem all but  the show' s name shud b changed to BBN1 (Big brother Nigeria 1) reasons viz
1. FAKE! FAKE!! FAKE!!! Oyinbo waanabe,. . .dude your african(Lebanese I guess) Act d F**K right okay.
2. FAKE! FAKE!! FAKE!!! FAKE!!!! FAKE!!!!! FAKE!!!!!!Big brother voice. . .Scary my foot
3. during the 1st episode my cousin hinted , and I quote "See as they packed h**5 and Cu!+!5+s on this show".
4. the cleavage showing off is just  Shocked, I mean drop some actin skills and not bobby skills
5. FAKE! Tears people F-you-see-kay-in fake tears Cry
6. Take a hint from AMBO or Project Fame,
Let me just have mercy on the show, and maybe consider their efforts at Least,  Wink kudos to Star,  Huh unkudos to the auditioning board, y'all shud have picked real acts and not those. . . Lips sealed Cry Huh
I rest my case  Lips sealed

I have read with interest most of the posts on this show and sincerely, i think u guys are just biased or something else. I was at the audition of the show and though i wasnt picked, i believe they were really honest in their selections, not man know man. Secondly, the show has been very fantastic since the beginning discovering Tonto Dike & Annie Macualey in the first edition, 2nd edition discovered Porttia Yamahan who was nominated for AMMA 2008 Awards and Barbara and Moyo Lawal. 3rd edition discovered Uti and Lydia who was also nominated for AMMA Awards 2009. So how can u guys say that the show is baseless and u dont know what the past housemates are doing. As a matter of fact, there is no other reality show in Nigeria who has achieved more with their housemates as this show. Dont forget also that the Chairman of The African Union attended the final party of the 2007 edition and endorsed the show. Next is the fact that the show is the only original Nigerian show that has gone African with 5 African Countries in the 2008 edition. Finally, i need to remind you that the cleavage issues u are talking about are mostly demonstrated by the foriegn housemates whose moral & cultural values are lower than that of Nigerians.

It is very important that we caution ourselves while critisizing creative idea, what have we created in our life that has been successful that gives us the rights to rubbish other people's life works. We need to be cultured enough to look deeep into issues. While we are saying our own rubbish, people are watching, sponsors are happy and the show is not broadcast on family belt of 7 -10pm. If NBC has issues with the show in terms of over exposure, they will  ban it, yet all the major stations in Nigeria are showing including Sharia States and some of us sit down on computers lambasting young Nigerians that are really trying hard to make a difference. Look Deep.

Finally, in terms of selection of winners, the producers have asked anybody  that have issues to go to MTN, Zain, GLO & Starcomms to confirm the votes. Always look on the brighter side of things, some young people participates and showcase their talents, they become groomed, win brand new car, a flat, cash prizes and movie contracts and u think the show is rubbish. HABA. Are u aware that the housemates of the just concluded 2008 edition u are talking about are now the stars of Dormitory 8 Comedy Drama Series running on 18 TV Stations, three of them are now the faces and presenters of Excite ON TV. Yet u cant find anything good. Check yourselfs and ask God for forgiveness.

Cheers to all.

I love Nigerian reality and TV shows, I haven't watched a single episode of the next movie star but I love other shows like Your Access, a variety show you can watch here http://africamars.com/your-access.htm.

I tried visiting http://thenexmoviestarafrica.tv, and the site is not working. I want to contact the show producer if they are interested in broadcasting their show online, I will put it up on my website, I have a collection of African TV shows there.
