everytime i turn on my dad's Laptop ( comoaq pasario 2100) i always see "start window normally" and i tried putting it on safe mode to remove what i just installed on it (maybe is one causing the problem) but still didn't work, please help i do not want to format it please if there is any method that i can use to make it come back to life please help God bless you

@poster, DON'T REFORMAT yet! Can you provide more details? For instance, how long has this been going on and what were you doing before this happened? Also, did you recently install a SW or HW? Lastly, could you be specific as to how far the PC boots when you tried starting windows as normal i.e. did you get any stop error (maybe with a blue screen of death?) or does it loop back to the booting process? Oh, while you're there, you can try the "Last good known configuration" option (doubt that will help at this point but it's worth trying first). Post back your findings. Peace!

i installed avg anti-virus. Every time i switched it on,it will bring out window XP whatever, it will flash a blue screen and later show start window normally, safe mode etc Before i installed the avg, there are some songs i wanted to delete from media player but i couldn't delete them so that's why i thought that, may be it was virus and decided to install avg. Besides that it was functioning pretty nice, thank you

i gess d nxt tin mite be to slave d hard drive to anoda computer n copy all d data in it b4 formatting (i dunno oh, som oda guys may hv a beta suggestion)
