« on: July 28, 2006, 05:07 PM »

you can chat, send and receive email on the go on your mobile phone, all you need is an MTN sim with smart phone that is GPRS enable and e-mail client settings, configure it to browse and set up your e-mail client settings in your phone and you can download all your email on a click of a button and also chat when you sign in to yahoo and click on the messenger icon and you will see if your friends are on line and chat with them.i will post the settings when i get a reply to this thread,i have tested it with my V3 and everything is working fine. for more info, call me on 08065942445 or mail  ncpatnig@yahoo.co.uk  see you.

Configuring External (POP) Mail Accounts in Yahoo! Mail
You can configure Yahoo! Mail to send all your email from one place. You can also retrieve email from your POP email accounts.
An account with POP access is one that you are able to access through an external email client such as Outlook, Eudora, or Netscape Mail. Follow the instructions below to add settings for another email account. Yahoo! Mail can store settings for up to 5 different accounts at one time.

To add an account using the setup wizard:

Click the "Mail Options" link on the top-right side of the screen, and then choose "Mail Addresses" located under the Management column.
Click the "Add" button on the Mail Accounts page.
Enter an account name -- for example, Work, School, etc. -- and click "Continue."
Enter your (POP) mail server name (only POP mail servers are supported at this time).
Enter your user name and password. Note: The user name is different than your email address. Typically it is the text in your email address before the "@" symbol. Your password is whatever you use to access your external mail account and not necessarily your Yahoo! password.
Select an indicator color to mark messages received from this account.
Click the "Setup Mail Server" button.
You are required to verify that you own this account. Clicking the "Send Verification" button will send the verification letter to the email address you are adding. Once you receive the verification letter, enter the confirmation code along with your Yahoo! password to the following page. Upon verification,  your new account will be added.
