but it is used as a greeting.
It is a universal Igbo greeting that cuts across all Igbo nation.
You are not Igbo I suppose.
It is similar to saying.
Hello my good people.
It is normally said with a good dose of umph and the response yaaaaa is always resounding.

In any Igbo meeting or function,almost all the speakers start off saying
Igbo kwenu,kwenu,kwezuonu and the response yaaa follows all the three greeting above.They end their speeches the same way too.
there are usually proverbs and wise sayings following and in Igbo land,those wise sayings are never interpreted,it is assumed that any Igbo man or woman who was given suck by an Igbo woman should know the meaning or else,they said the dowry paid to marry the individual's mother would be in vain.
