Nora Roberts Or Daniele Steele? Who Is Better? R They Worth Reading?
« on: November 04, 2008, 03:53 PM »

My GirlFriend is nuts about Daniele Steele while my Ex is crazy about Nora Roberts and they keep going on and on about these two authors. I keep getting them more and more of it everytime (have them in softcopies  - for PDAs and desktop computer systems) but I keep wondering what's so special about these two authors.

I have managed to read like 3 or 4 of Daniele Steele's books but wasn't too impressed by the storylines so i stopped reading them.

I have over 100 Nora Robert's books on my system but I have not read a single one even with so much cajoling from guys that I know that her books are wonderful to read.

So Nairalanders - the question is - is Nora Roberts as good as she is been acclaimed to be? Pls let me know what you guys think before I muster the courage to open one to read.

Don't bother about telling me how good Daniele Steele is I've had enuff of her or have I? .

NB
To All,

I have 5 Nora Roberts's Titles on the site right now. I have over 100 of her books, so i will be adding more as often as i can or you can request for a particular book of hers.

To be able to read/open the books once you've downloaded it, install a Microsoft Reader Software on your system. You can get to download this @ http://www.4shared.com/file/68854787/5c5956f1/MSReaderSetupUSA.html

Go to  www.    booksdownload247   .   blogspot  .  com to get the links for the books and leave a coment on the book or magazine u want posted there for download.

U can check my Nairaland Profile to also get to the site. Just Click on "Books and Magazines Downloads".

Enjoy.

Have read enuf of Danielle Steele to knw dat she is good. Some dnt like her books cos they are usually sorrowful. In particular, i love d way she ends her books, it keeps me longing for more of her. Can't remember Nora Roberts much.

Daielle Steel is beutiful at wat she does
her books are can i say more 'mature' than Nora Roberts'
doesnt mean i will in any way say Nora Roberts' books are inferior
they are really not the same flava so its kinda hard to compare them
its really wat appeals to the reader
i mean whose writing style

Nora Roberts. I first read SANCTUARY. It has to be her best. I'm not a devoted fan,but Sanctuary is fantastic.
Steele is depressing.

I can only remember trying to read one of Danielle Steele's books back in the days, and let me tell you, she can sometimes make you feel tired of life when you read her storyline. I mean, the ongoing trauma and stress embedded in each chapter. I ran away quick.

Nora Roberts makes more sense. You have up to 100 of her books? What does that tell you? She has to be good.

I read Roberts' Nightingale and Steele's "A Fine Day" or "One Fine Day"

I finished the first feeling like a teenager who got kissed for the first time. Oh, I WAS sixteen at the time. One Fine Day or A Fine Day ruined my day. I read it half way and dumped it. I might have read the best Nora Roberts and the worst Danielle Steel but I think Roberts is better at emoting and invoking emotion in her readers. Take into account I'm judging them both on only one instance. Or half an instance as the case maybe.

I've never read more than five "Romance" books anyways.
