Your Best Valentine's Day and Gift

Hum. . . .

My best Valentine's Day gift was in 1998.  I was dating a guy that was my "first love."  I had his locker combination so I decided to put his birthday gift (which fell on Feb 12) and his Valentine's Day gift in his locker as a surprise.

Once I opened his locker, I found a card and a picture of/from another girl. 

The card read:

Happy birthday and Happy Valentines Day!

Love you, sweetie

I then saw them walking down the hall hand in hand.  A friend of mine walked up to me and said, "Vexxy, isn't that your boyfriend?  Should I go kick his ___?"  I said, "no, we broke up."

At this point you're probably wondering how it was the best.  Well, that day I learned a lot.

I'D say it was great because it really opened my eyes to a lot of tricks guys play.  I was ready for my next beau.

I really can't remember any other gift because they were like yours; cards with hand written notes.  My brother did get me a beautiful sumari sword from Japan.  I still have it.  That was a great gift!

My best val gift was in 2000.  I was so so in love with this guy.  I got flowers at my door step at about 6am with a little cute teddy and a card that says how much he was inlove with me.  Later that night he took me out to this very very romantic resturant for dinner.the resturant is on a mountain it took us like 2 hrs to drive to the place,it was very far,i kept asking where we were going and what he was up to.he just kept laughing i got pissed didnt talk to him until we got there.because it was meant to be a surprise.

I was like wow where is this?  He bought a ticket for his car park and we went in.  I was like wow wow why this place,  it's so expensive and too classy.  I was just amazed.  While we were having dinner I could see the moon light, stars and the sky was very close to my face .  The city lights were sparkling it was just the best.  After dinner we went into the so called secret garden of the resturant, ran around, played some pranks and just hummmmmm ok i will stop here.

That is just the coolest val so far.

I had bought a lot of [gifts] for my babe at the time (did the shopping on Saturday, February 12, forgotten what I bought though).

Sunday, February 13, 2000. Nigeria-Cameroon, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos...

Monday, February 24, 2000. Frances calls me (I am depressed mind you), and says: "Remember today is val's day, forget about yesterday, it is only a game!" That was the end of the relationship...

I have since moved on from the rabid football fan that I once was, but...

Folks, first of all what is Valentine's Day about ? It's about nothing. Don't tell me now that's the day for all the people who are in love with somebody. It's BS. It's the perfect rip off day for men, not more, not less. When I bought 20 roses for my baby 2 years ago my total came up to $ 180.00. Yeah, happy Valentine's Day. At least we had good sex this day....

Hey guys!,don't you think, it would be so sweet, and very romantic, to be proposed to on VALENTINE'S DAY?

ERRR..nope, it actually didn't happen to me, I was just saying it would be really nice.

I know, sweet,innit?

VALENTINES DAY CAN BE VARY DEPRESSING, IT CAN ALSO BE THE MOST AMAZING SENSATION!!!!

I was awaken by the sound of my phone ringing. It was my boyfriend, Daniel. I was exited in the anticipation that he was going to say something sweet and romantic. Instead, he told me he had to work all day, and wouldnt be able to see me today, he was very sorry. He also said he had the choice, but he needed the money. Infact he didnt have any money to get me anything, that i shouldnt even bother buying him anything (id already bought him something.) he said nothing better than something cheap! (he was soooo wrong!!) i had just woken, i wasnt thinkin straight, i couldnt even say anything. so he just said he’ll talk to me later.

It wasn’t until id showered and gotten changed for school that I got my head round things. I began to cry. I don’t know why, I guess I just had such high hopes, and I really loved Daniel. And since weeks back id been imagining a romantic vals day!!!

Nonetheless, I went to school, definatley heartbroken! The day went by so slowly. I kept seeing people kissing, exchanging gifts, etc!! It was really depressing!

On my way home I began crying again, then I pulled myself together and told myself that I was juast being silly!! It didn’t work!!
I was almost home. I knew that my parents would be out all day for vals. My brothers had an after school club they went to. So I knew id be at home alone. I thought it was for the best, because id just be morose and ruined the day for everyone.

When I got home  I walked in, seeing that the place had been decorated with hearts, signs saying happy vals and roses on the window ledge. I assumed it was just my parents doing something extra special this year!
I walked ni the living room and saw candles lit on the centre table, in the dining room a candle lit dinner. I called out my parents, but I couldn’t find them. Then I went upstairs to undress (*out of my uniform). I walked in and saw Daniel siting on my bed!!!!!!!

It was the shock of a lifetime!! I asked him what he was doing. He said he was waiting for me. I was soooo surprised, speechless. I said he had to go because my parents were planning something at home. He said they had gone to an hotel and we had the house to ourselves. He also said he had done all id saw in the house!!!! He gave me chocs, a huge teddy and the roses which I saw on the window ledge. Then we went into the dining and ate the dinner he prepared. It was real nice!!   
   We dance in the living room, he had brought some really romantic music. I almost cried!! I fel soo loved and appreciated!! Then after talking a while, he headed off to work…really, really late!! He sacrifised his job for me!!!

That was definatley the most romantic and amazing experience of my life, and it was soo unexpected!!!

(of course I had to set the house straight before my parents returned home that evening. My bros helped me when they got home…….their still blackmailing me up till now!!!!

Princess-J: Women.  You enjoy going through emotional roller-coasters.  Crying throughout the day and then being surprised in the afternoon and it suddenly becomes the best gift ever.  How sweet.   :rolls eyes:  do something bad to the woman to make hercry, and then surprise her afterwards and suddenly you become the sugar in her tea.
