2003 Honda Accord
« on: November 11, 2008, 07:28 PM »

Hi All,

I am advertising this on behalf of a family member who shipped this to Lagos from Minnesota. I know the car was bought off an insurance auction and with some body damage. The repair was done in the States before shipping to Lagos.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll reply any questions as soon as I get the answers. In the meantime, here are some pictures.

Just for clarifications. The car is already in Lagos waiting for the buyer. Would that be you?

I'll get that information for you before the end of today.

However, I have to make a correction. The owner said he is asking for N2.4 million. I don't know how I came to the N1.7 million conclusion.  I believe every serious and reasonable offer will be considered.

Expect the contact information soon.

@topic,

My bad. I got it all wrong. The N2.4 million is for a Monterro Mitsubishi Sport that should be landing in Naija anytime soon.

The asking price remains at N1.7 million. Every reasonable offer will be considered.

In the mean time, the contact person's name is Solomon and he can be reached at 0806-655-0024.

Thanks.

Your explanation isn't enough reason not to provide the mileage and VIN as condition demands.

I'll consider your offer serious enough to table before the owner when you have inspected it.

Let me know when you've done just that and I'll inform you of his response. Shey you know someone has offered N1.4m already?

I think its only prudent if I present your offer to the owner after its being inspected. I think only a serious buyer will take the time to inspect the car after making an offer.

Contact details are provided above, and let me know when you plan to inspect the car.

Thanks for making the call. Let's hope for your sake the car will still be available by then.

I'll have to check if the pictures of the car in Nigeria can be obtained and posted. Otherwise, I really don't think there is any difference from what you are looking at right now.  The car was shipped to Nigeria in a container, meaning it was not vandalised not scratched in any way. It is still is in the same condition when it left the US, and has not being used at all in naija.

I think this is very reasonable. I personally do not take any offer seriously without a prior inspection by the person making the offer.

Thanks for the advice. If you are so confident of the warri market, why not buy it and go sell it in Warri with your own profit mark-up?  I'll probably give you a call this weekend depending on the response of those who go to inspect the car.

I understand that your funds may be tied up right now. Why not change your plans based on your temporal limitations then? What I mean is this. Why not find a buyer who is ready to come pick up in Lagos. You can be a middle man and get your cut. this way, you will be making money without investing money.
