Mice Lovers: Introduce yourself. Yes, I have had mice as pets. White lab mice, that is. I am interested in knowing if anybody else ever shared this hobby (mice rearing).
P.S: Cat lovers stay off this post.

Mice. Raising mice; now why didn't I think of that! One could raise them as livestock for use as catfood. Wait a minute, this guy is talking about rearing mice as pets. Ok, Kodewrita, what does mouse-rearing involve? Where do you get the mouse or mice? What do you feed them and how often? Do you need to take them to a vet doctor from time to time? Do you bath them? Do you allow them to mate and reproduce, or do you castrate the males? Do you allow them to roam about your house? Do they get attached to their owners?

Now that's a first or are you simply taking the mock?

its not a mock. i actually raised them for a while. i got them from a friend whose parents were agric lecturers but my dad was not amused after we started a running battle with the rats but it ended with a salvo of indocide. My friends raised theirs in a cage. unfortunately you don't get hamster cages in nigeria that would have been the best.
@Ra I assume you have some geek friends who study biology, you can convince them to give you some. as to mating well thats up to you, though you can select all males or females. feeding, they eat virtually anything.
