how does the 'multilinks telkom internet service' provision compare with the mtn f@stlink (apart from the 3gig limit).
i'd be grateful if someone could help me see the light.

On Starcomms, that 2MB/s file transfer speed is a fallacy.

My other reasonable brothers in this forum abeg how Starcomms dey take monitor person individual work? when they dont make use of static ip addresses?

Each time you disconnect and reconnect the ip changes, how on earth can you monitor someone's work from a non static ip address? The only way you are indentified on the internet is via your ip address which has to be personal. Only Vsat in Nigeria does that and a few broad band services like, Swift Networks and Ipnx and some few others that have refused to leave Lekki and Ikoyi coverage area.


Abeg oh, dont start sending rubbish here, i need advise on which broadband to get, i was at direct on pc today, where i met an old old friend, said their service to reach my area, that i should not try, weill i wont just pour out N160,000.00 just like that for nothing.

I went further to multilinks,  my guys dem dey there, i collect their laptop, screened their speed, at their very branch,  My brother don't ever make the mistake of getting Multilinks Broadband, oh boy! Make anybody no try ammmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!

I went to ipnx, and i wasn't with my passport photograph, so i have to return on monday,  that will cost N59,000.00
ipnx also has 3g download limit, crapy!

I went to mtn and was discouraged about the 3g limit cos i pay video games on my ps3 dont know if it will work for me, i got their form and might consider them since there are no better options apart from ipnx and mtn, my brother abeg tell me,  whichway? Whichone make i buy, i have to asses to whip@@!!!! and can't do that without a steady speed.

seriously starcomms got no business banning people for downloading movies on the net.
o'l boy get a lawyer. if starcomms have records of your web activity on their network, demand to see it.

@lynx and hayprof. now concerning that screenshot. the transfer rate capture is usless and it does not show in any way your true download speed. speed is the average transfer rate over time. . 2MB/s? no wireless  on earth can give you that speed, but 2Mb/s( take note of the unit) well that might be possible.
point is the network doesn't offer that kind of speed,talk less of your modem supporting such speed.
that ?MB/s  you see happens immediately you start downloading. it's a spike or flash. lasts for a few seconds. that no way your speed.

So my best bet now is Multilinks or ipnx, cos ipnx na 3x of multilinks speed but for the 3g download limit for ipnx i think na multilinks i go just go for, ahhh,  Im in trouble! But i know say multilinks broadband fast pass starcomms, cos na starcomms izap i dey take follow u talk now but na for my friend he's coming to carry the rubbish tommorrow.

I go close eye buy the multilinks, with the N21,000 monthly subscription i hope i won't regret it sha hopefully,
