Wait Wait Wait peopleeeee

Give them a little time and they will overload their system capacity and it will go the way(DEAD SLOW) of their dialup which was the best at inception.

The only thing this people got right with their dial-up internet is/was the billing plan. I wish they do same with their pending Evdo Internet Undecided if not, subscribing to it ain't worth besides there's already a less cheaper plan from starcomms Evdo (15k/month)

Ive tried Multilinks EVDO.Its just like advertised in the papers.Ive not seen anything like it.I think the company wants to really cover the whole of lagos well before it starts to sell.Right now,Ikeja,VI,Lekki,Surulere,Apapa, some parts of Ikorodu and some other places are well covered and it is proper broadband. So far with what Ive seen,it is the best around though a bit expensive.
Cost is N21,000 and 24hrs is another N21,000 but its worth it.

When you say they charge 600 Naira equivalent/Month. . . what kind of internet connection are u talking about? This is mobile internet connection we are talking about here in Nigeria. I know your connection is home based so you cannot connect outside the room. . . If am right. it's not even WLAN, it's cable for God's sake ore!

FUTA charges just 2000 naira for internet/month for WLAN so all that one na same thing. . . Ask people that use Private Wireless connections at home and confirm the price. . . Wink

This your internet connection you're talking about, friend, belongs to your school so you don't expect them to charge much. . . It's not a private and personal internet connection that you can carry about, so know the difference  Wink

This same connection that you're talking about, the last time we watched Youtube online, my Starcomms Evdo was actually faster and you confessed to it, so don't make people think sumtin sumtin . . . Wink

No.2 This is Nigeria where those companies run on Generator 24/7, where do you expect them to get money for cost of maintenance? Nigerian govt. no provide infrastructures, shey na private company go bear the burden? If Nitel was functioning well instead of the old hags that ruined it, it would have been that way in Nigeria too.

Let's agree multilinks Internet is kinda expensive. . . At least, Starcomms is considerate and I've been enjoying them.

We hope u and MTN 3.5G speed will allow us hear word at the phone section. And plz before i forget, it not everybody that can calculate difference between megabit to a megabyte, for that reason abstain from saying u get 1mbit  downlink speed  whereas u might 128KB/S. Thank u

U're expectn a 1MB per sec speed to download 40MB in 6Secx ? Huh U must b jokn. Mathematically a 1MB/S should equal 40Sec. not 5Sec. k

Are u sure u understand math?

Sush: Ya'll,  Angry Angry Tongue

. . nd who says a 40MB file won't complete in 60secs @ 1MB/s ?

The 1MB mite av varied @ somepoints there by leaving  60s - 40s = +-20secs

So, its mathematical. . .  Wink
