Sup Gooners?

we are still in contention for race!!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

shame to all anti - gunners

to be honest,i had my heart in my mouth when Cousin equalized . .  thanks to Samir Nasri, and super Sub - Bendtner.

I don't think wenger should let Bendtner go now until we have a better striker or maybe when eduardo starts playing again . . .

Villa also pull in some surprises earlier that afternoon.

what a game!!

For once Arsenal suprise me pleasantly i really thought we where gonna draw another game in this biatch! Till our little Zidane and our Danish Giraffe came to the rescue!! With a few more signings we can have a run at this league thing we are grinding results out and before long our rivals would slip up it would be up to us to take advantage

@Myself2
That guy has been one of our top performers this season he has been quietly effective and he really has cushioned the effect of us losing Cesc i shudder at the thought of what might happen if anything happened to him he might not be as good a dribbler as Hleb but is very strong on the ball and very decisive in front of goal he is also way younger and can only get better!! i can almost bet Hleb would have tried to pass if he where in Nasri's position yesterday

Nicklas is improving. . . two crucial goals in two games now.

I wish Kit would show up and admit to the brilliance of Saint Nick!  Cool

RVP should continue his creative form - even if he isn't scoring, he's creating chances for others and it's fantastic.  Cool

Now we need to tighten up in defence. I love Clichy, but his errors are getting worse and worse - I remember the penalty conceded at B'ham last season, and a couple he almost conceded but the referees didn't give so far. I've been seeing those errors for a while now - I hope the boss will sit him down and speak to him.

We need a defensive coach to drill some basics into these players.

That aside, I'm glad we've started scoring goals. . . .that way when Villa slip up, we will begin to take our rightful place.  Cool

10.13 Andrei Arshavin's agent, Dennis Lachter, expects his client's transfer to Arsenal to take place within the next seven days.

Sky sports news. "Andrei wants to go, Arsenal want him and Zenit accept they have to sell. "It's just a matter of sorting out the sums but the indication is it'll happen soon, perhaps within days.

i reckon wenger should sign our very own Odemwinge.

I suggest we drop the Sharvin conspiracy till it actually happens.
If it goes through, good we give a last gasp challenge for EPL title.
If it doesn't, good too cos UEFA cup next season won't be so bad afterall.

I disagree - UEFA cup?? That would be a disaster - we'd lose £40m from the CL. In our precarious financial situation, that could be a killer blow. The other thing is that our top players like Cesc, RVP and Ade will be very open to poaching at the end of the season.

Imagine a whole summer like 3 times worse than last summer. Remaining in the CL we still lost Hleb and Flamini. . . .with City throwing money around like crazy and clubs like Milan flush with cash from City, it would be very dangerous for Arsenal FC.  I think in that situation, Cesc might leave, Ade might go, then where do we start from?

We MUST be in the CL at all costs - spending £15m on Arshavin, if necessary. I'd rather spend £15m now than lose £40m and more - no more gate takings from CL games, less utilisation of the Emirates. . . . a very dire situation.

Anyways, I am not really worried about that - Villa is not going to finish 5 points off the premiership leaders like they are right now, I give them till March at the latest, they will start faltering.

this arshavin guy, do you really need him? I watch him week in week out, not convinced he is exactly what Arsenal needs. You need a work horse, arshavin is not.

You watch Arshavin week in week out?  Cheesy

Finally someone who watches the Russian league!  Cheesy I've always wanted to know one thing - how does Arshavin beat defenders? Is it with his dazzling footwork or are they simply afraid of his owl-shaped face?  Grin Grin Grin

He isn't a work horse?  Shocked Pray tell us, what is he then? A show pony?  Grin

Thanks for telling us what we need, but a team not creating enough goals needs a creative midfielder, in addition to the DMF workhorse we need. Wink

What we need is another creative outlet in the absence of Cesc, Walcott and Rozzi. Nasri will be overworked if he doesn't get some support, and he'll burn out the same way Cesc did. The creative workload needs to be more evenly spread to reduce pressure on any single player.

seriously like Debo said, Nasri would be outworked if you don't get an additional and well experienced attacking Midfielfer or winger ESP now that FAB4,walcot,Rosicky are all out for about 2 -3 months now.

if we don't by Arshavin, who should be buy? a Goal keeper? Cool

Sharrap Sharon.  Tongue

Even with the so called boom and bust, we've qualified for the CL 11 seasons straight.  Cool

There are dozens of clubs that would kill to have that, and even to taste for a moment the potential our youth set up holds.  Cool

Arsenal is an emotional roller coaster, but I wouldn't have it in another club.  Tongue

The facts are this who needs arshavin. When we have cesc, rosiscky, ramsey, etc.
But they are all injured, and all of a sudden we need men. But come to think of it. When they all recover they are going to leave wenger with good option and good competition. Imagine arshavin and rosisky manning the wings, and cesc and nasri in the middle. A pairing of Van persie and Adebayor upfront. A strong attacking arsenal forward.
I cannot wait for that day, but for now arshavin needs to be brought in so nasri is not overworked like cesc.
