WAMMAKO'S UNIMPRESSIVE START
« #2 on: November 20, 2008, 09:59 AM »

This article was written when I was serving in Sokoto last year. The 5-paragraph write-up took the whole of Sokoto state by storm. I became the most popular corper. The state government was annoyed. "How can a bloody corper interfere in the politics of a state he had come to serve?", they kept asking. I met the state Commissioner for Education and apologized. I had 3 months service extension because of this article.

THE WORLD OF AWO HALL
« #3 on: November 20, 2008, 10:04 AM »

I was just reading through one Nigerian daily(can't recall the exact paper, but most likely Tribune) when I saw a fine article written by an ex-UI student on his hall-Zik hall.
I decided to do the same for the hostel I lived in Ife. The product http://www.thenationonlineng.com/dynamicpage.asp?id=40464

WHAT'S WRONG WITH BUK'S DRESS CODE?
« #4 on: November 20, 2008, 10:13 AM »

I was serving my 3-months NYSC extension in Sokoto, having written an article critical of the state government. My usual place was the state library, where I used to go and read for my ICAN exams, and flip through the library newspapers to relax. I saw one provocative article in Tribune one Wednesday. I quickly picked my pen and put up a rejoinder, and dashed for teh cyber cafe. Tribune,Vanguard and Daily Trust published it.
