thank you for your idea, i have tried that but i forgot the password to my email as i have not used it a long time. i am using a friend's to get in here to see if it can be resolved.
what do you think can be done?
this is the reply: A mail has been sent to your email address. Click the link in that mail to set a new password.
i am no longer using that email like i said.

If you don't have access to your email any longer, and you don't know your password, then there is nothing linking you to the account.

The thing is why should someone forget his password in the first place. For me, my Nairaland password is more like my ATM pin. I can never forget it.

Unfortunately some folks do forget theirs . . .due to busy schedule. . .
at least my friend forgot hers and hasn’t been here for quite an age
