This is the first time I'll be coming across your username.

Given your no of posts, you are definitely one of the Senior landers. But we are talking about people that shook and moved NL in 2008, not senior landers.

Abandoned, of course, because we are in 2009 and the thread says TOP 10 NAIRALANDERS IN 2008. To be revived and reviewed by the end of 2009, God willing.

With ten months gone in 2009, my annual list of TOP 10 NAIRALANDERS-2009 is being revived.

I will release the list in two batches(Don't call me Sanusi o  Grin). The second batch will be released by the end of November.

Here is the First list(Not in any order):

1, MRCRACKLES: This guy shook Nairaland in 2009, as he did in the previous year. Visible in almost every section and thread, MrCrackles is unarguably one of the most popular and controversial nairalanders. A topic was opened where somebody accused him of being a cultist. Not given to long posts, his posts are usually short, emoticon-laden and filled with slangs, most often insultive ones. He will make anybody's list.

2. BECOMRICH: For forumers that dwell politics and other related sections, becomrich is one guy which every word that comes from his keyboard keeps you laughing. He has always been like that, but he became a four-star comedian in 2009. The passion with which he marshals his arguments is phenomenally surprising. New slangs like 'Mapomeji', 'I talk to God', evolved because of this guy. If you did not go to politics section section in 2009, you have missed a lot.

3.LAWYER: Lawyer is a moderator, and I tried not to make any Mod make the list, but I can't help putting Lawyer in my list. He did a great job on NL in 2009. He did wonderfully well in his Property section. He did researches, went as far as going to a Ogun state to take pictures of estates/land for sale, did same for Okun Ajah area etc. He is one person that made NL thick in 2009.

4.CRISTALZ A list of NL's TOP 10 without having a rep from the sports section is definitely not worth it. I had serious difficulty picking representative of sports section in my list, as there are a lot of folks from sports section who collosally moved NL in the outgoing year.  Last year, it was Dayokanu. This year, I give it to Cristalz. She is one Nairalander that shook the sports section in 2009.

5.THIEF OF HEARTS Another ubiquitous Nairalander. We hardly see eye to eye but I think she deserves a spot in the list of Top 10 Nairalanders in 2009.

Poser: Will Abuzola and Tpia make the next list? I myself don't know. . . . let's wait

The next list will pull up some surprise. But until then, keep debating.  . . .

Second list:

6.ABUZOLA At the risk of being accused of squeezing a Muslim into my list, I think Abuzola deserves a place in the list of Top 10 Nairalanders 2009. From an unknown nairalander pre-2009, this 'gentleman' came out of obscurity to become a thread-hold name in the religion sections, for the right or wrong reason. He, alongside Tudor, was arguably the revelation of the year in religion section. He joined old horses like Davidylan, Osisi and Olabowale in the list of movers and shakers of religion sections. But will he stand the test of time like the latter who have been actively there since 2006? Or will he go the way of Muza and Maisuya, who suddenly buzzed into fame on NL and went back into obscurity after a couple of months?  Time shall tell.

7.TPIA Like her or hate her, she is one of the nairalanders that shaped 2009. And which year didn't she? Of course, we don't cross paths, and we operate at arm's lenght but she makes my list for her doggedness. Despite being one of the most bashed nairalanders, she was still active throughout the year.

8. IBIME: One of the most versed and versatile Nairalanders. Popular in the sports, politics and rap sections, his independent-mindedness stood him out as one of the forumers that defined NL in 2009.

9.SAGAMITE Another versatile nairalander. Found in almost every section, and with quality contributions. He is another Nairalander that shaped 2009.

10.SEANT21: Another Mod making my list, much as I tried to exempt Mods. She is everywhere. Like Mrcrackles, hardly post long stories though.
